In this episode of "The Hypocrisy of the Left Knows No Bounds"...
And it so it begins. Make that "And so it continues."
While President Joe Biden has notoriously avoided the media throughout his miserable presidency, and hollow fraud Vice President Kamala Harris pretty much did the same throughout her ill-fated presidential campaign, left-wing rag Politico on Tuesday whined that President-elect Donald Trump hasn't held a press conference since winning the election -- by my count just two weeks ago.
So, yeah -- the gall of it all.
Let's go straight to the horse's... mouth (emphasis, mine):
As president-elect, Donald Trump has shied away from the media as he releases a stream of Cabinet picks and White House staffers in statements, most posted to his social media platform Truth Social.
He has yet to hold a press conference.
Since the election, Trump has done a handful of one-on-one interviews and delivered public remarks at an event at Mar-a-Lago. In an interview Monday with Fox News Digital, the president-elect said “in order to make America great again, it is very important, if not vital, to have a free, fair and open media or press.”
Exactly, Politico. By including Trump's statement to Fox News Digital in your hit piece, you inadvertently made his point -- and the point of a strong majority of the American people, who trust the legacy media less than Michael Moore can be trusted at an all-you-can-eat pasta bar.
Let's back up the bus for a refresh, shall we?
As reported on March 15, 2024, no president in recorded history has done fewer press conferences than Biden. Doing them has been a basic part of the job of the presidency for decades. Yet, the sycophantic "mainstream" media and far-left outlets like CNN and MSNBC not only let him get away with it; they all but shielded the guy and his visible cognitive decline.
And Harris? As of November 2, just three days before the election, the anointed Democrat vice presidential nominee had gone 107 days without doing a formal press conference. In contrast, Trump held at least six news conferences in which he took questions from the media since the beginning of August.
So, please, Politico, your hypocrisy is showing.

DESPERATE MUCH? Yes, Kamala Harris Really Held a Press Conference Just to Call Donald Trump 'Hitler'
The outlet presented "proof" that Trump was also averse to pressers during his first presidency.
Favoring social media announcements over traditional interactions with the press is not out of the ordinary for Trump, who didn’t host a general news conference until January 2017 after winning the presidency in November 2016.
I hate (love) to nitpick here, but why should Trump do press conferences with the legacy media?
These people compared Trump to Adolf Hitler throughout his 2024 campaign, outwardly called him a "fascist" or said he was "fascistic," labeled his supporters as "Nazis," "white supremacists," and worse, and warned that as president, Trump would round up his "enemies" and send them to "internment camps."
What Trump did do, for example, was sit down for an extensive three-hour interview with podcaster extraordinaire Joe Rogan, while Team Harris presented the super-podcaster with ridiculous conditions that he had to accept before Princess Kamala would grant him an interview. Rogan declined -- as I suspect Team Harris knew he would.
In a statement to Politico, incoming White House Communications Director Steven Cheung went bottom-line:
President Trump has done more interviews and press engagements than any other candidate in the 2024 elections.
Amen. 'Nuff said.
