The Indoctrination Continues: Canadian 'Activities Book' Introduces Kids to Wonders of Assisted Suicide

As is the case with the proverbial question, “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time,” the radical left continues its insidious drive to devour the youth of our children, one immoral step at a time.

From graphic details about sex to drag queen strip shows to transgenderism to gender fluidity, and gender self-identity, to now, the peaceful wonders [sarcasm] of euthanasia — including children as young as six watching their grandparents and other loved ones die — all of it “learned,” of course, often on the down-low, in “progressive” public schools.

As reported by National Review on Friday, children in Canada, ages 6-12, are being taught in detail how people are killed during euthanasia, which goes by the euphemism MAiD — medical assistance in dying — in the Canada of radical leftist Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Canadian Virtual Hospice utilizes its Medical Assistance in Dying Activity Book to teach Canadian youngsters the death process of “medical assistance in dying” in three tidy simple steps.

The three medicines work like this: The first medicine makes the person feel very relaxed and fall asleep. They may yawn or snore or mumble.

The second medicine causes a “coma.” A coma looks like sleep but is much deeper than regular sleep. The person will not wake up or be bothered by noise or touch.

The third medicine makes the person’s lungs stop breathing and then their heart stops beating. Because of the coma, the person does not notice this happening and it does not hurt. When their heart and lungs stop working, their body dies. It will not start working again. This often happens in just a few minutes, but sometimes (rarely) it can take hours.

So what happens if a child wants to change grandma’s mind? Um, that’s gonna be a problem.

As much as other people may want to change their mind, the person who is choosing MAiD probably wishes just as strongly that they could change their illness or condition and how it is affecting their life.

When someone decides to ask for MAiD, it is usually after thinking very carefully and having very hard feelings for a long time. They may feel that nothing will change their mind because there is nothing that can help their body or their suffering get better.

Translation: The elderly are a drain on socialist society; the sooner we eliminate the cost of keeping them alive, the better.

Au contraire, as noted by National Review:

That isn’t true, of course. Palliative care and appropriate emotional and psychological interventions can overcome suicide ideation in the seriously ill and disabled. But those asking for euthanasia are denied this essential hospice service.

Moreover, only 15 percent of Canadians have adequate access to palliative care — a true scandal in a country that pushes euthanasia.

The book is, of course, chock full of fun euthanasia activities for the kiddies as well, including:

Activity: Draw or write about your ideas and feelings about the person in your life who is choosing MAiD. You can share this sheet with someone in your family or a health care team member who can help you with your questions, ideas, and feelings.

Using blank paper or the picture below, decorate it to look like you and the person. Write or draw what you think they think or feel about choosing MAiD in the space around them.

How fun. Just like decorating Easter eggs or Christmas trees — oh, wait. Never mind.

Finally, the book asks children if they’d like to spend time with grandma or other loved ones before they have MAiD, where they’d like to be while the Person is being euthanized, and if they’d like to be there, and what might they like to do with grandma prior to her being brought to room temperature by strangers.

The bottom line:

Euthanasia is often a draining, heart-wrenching decision for family members, on many levels. For some, religious beliefs are tested. For others, basic questions about the morality of purposely taking one’s own life — or any life, for that matter. For others, it’s simply a painless escape from pain and misery.

This program is yet another example of governments, teachers’ unions, and school systems usurping the legal rights of parents to raise their children as they see fit, including how long to allow them to just be kids.

Then again, as Vladimir Lenin said, “Give us the child for eight years and it will be a Bolshevik forever.”
