I’ve started more than a few op-eds over the last year by referencing an admonishment to fellow Democrats from former Obama stooge and former disastrous mayor of Chicago, Rahm Emanuel, in November 2008: “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.”

While Emanuel apologists and others on the left continue to insist his words of wisdom have been taken out of context by evil Republicans who purposely portray the quote as a partisan political recommendation, those of us who continue to take it out of context — assuming that’s what we’re actually doing — know damn well that the Democrat Party exactly practices it in the context we continue to hang around Emanuel’s neck — and theirs:

For political expediency during crises or other significant events because they believe that’s when they have their best shot at pulling off what they otherwise have not been able to do.

One need look no further than every mass shooting that comes down the pike to understand that reality, as Democrats pull hamstrings rushing to microphones and TV cameras to demand stricter gun-control laws — almost always aimed at a pretend weapon that does not exist: the dreaded “assault rifle,” or my personal fave, “weapons of war.”

Anyway, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-LOON) — whom Donald Trump was fond of calling “Pochahontas,” although I preferred “Fauxcahontas,” or simply “1/1,064th” (Native American) — admitted out loud during an interview with MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle what those of us who pay attention to such things have understood from the beginning, as it relates to Democrats and the state media hyping the ever-loving crap out of COVID:

“This is our chance to expand our idea of what infrastructure means.“

And. There. It. Is. Somewhere, Little Napoleon is smiling.

Below is a partial transcript of the interview (emphasis, mine).

Ruhle set the table for Lizzie, as the segment began:

“Republican senators just unveiled a counteroffer to President Biden’s latest $1.7 trillion infrastructure plan. The new price tag, $928 billion over eight years. It comes as the president gears up for a trip to Cleveland, where he will focus on manufacturing and the economy. Also this morning we learned that another 406,000 Americans filed for unemployment benefits last week. That is the lowest number since the pandemic began.

“We are on the road to economic recovery. Good news. Joining me now to discuss, Democratic senator from the state of Massachusetts, Elizabeth Warren. Senator, always good to see you. I want to start with this new counter-proposal from Republicans, $928 billion. Can you get on board for that?”

Warren wasn’t buying.

Visions of “green new deals” in her head, of course.

“Look, I don’t think this is a serious counteroffer. First of all, they don’t have the pay for this. It’s not real. They have this illusory notion of how we’re going to take money committed to other places and other spending.

Second part is I’m not hearing about the green infrastructure, about the importance when we make these investments that we’re talking about moving our buses to electric, our school buses to electric, our mass transit to electric, so that we’re bringing down our carbon footprint and whether or not they put enough money in to do this.

“But the third one is notice who gets left behind, the women. Infrastructure is about helping people get to work and helping businesses thrive because they’ve got workers. We build roads and bridges to do that. We invest in broadband to do that. We need to invest in childcare to do that. Millions of women are out of the workplace right now and one out of four says the reason I can’t get childcare.

We were in a crisis before the pandemic hit, it only got worse during the pandemic. This is our chance to expand our idea of what infrastructure means. Give women who want to work a real chance in the workplace. And can I do one more part to that?”

“Sure,” parroted Ruhle.

More pablum from Lizzie:

“And that is — remember this is called a jobs bill. It’s infrastructure and jobs. So as long as we’re investing in roads and bridges and lots of concrete, about 90 percent of those jobs are going to be for men, and they’re good jobs. And I support that and I think that’s great.

“But when we’re talking about childcare, those jobs are nearly all going to women and those jobs today pay far too little. We have a chance to turn those into good-paying, professional jobs. So — and we include childcare and then we get — moms get a chance in the workforce and daddies, and the women who are doing the work get a chance at the workforce.”

This, of course, once again gives us the opportunity to point out the sheer hypocrisy of the “party of women’s rights.” The party of “shattering the glass ceiling.” The party of “protecting America’s women from the evil intent of the Republican Party.”

Uh-huh. And also the “party that enthusiastically supports biological males kicking the hell out of biological females in women’s sports. I could go on.

Democrats are like spoiled children, gang. They can never get “enough” to make them happy. They are never satisfied. The more they get, the more they want. We’ve seen it for nearly 60 years and we’re now seeing it as blatantly as we’ve seen it in decades.

Between Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi — both of whom want to spend your money like drunken sailors — the “best” is yet to come.
