Esquire has what appears to be a thought-provocative, intelligent piece up at their website (warning: language). It concerns Bobby Jindal and a little rant he posted both here and on his own site. It also appears the writer of the Esquire post is inciting a rather intimate type of violence against the governor. There is actually so little substance to the post that I can’t even quote it here because 2/3 of it is a block quote from the governor.

I do wonder what has got their finely-pressed knickers in a twist to have to lash out at the governor like that. Here’s the block quote they don’t like.

Now, let’s get really politically incorrect here and talk specifically about this horror in Oregon. This killer’s father is now lecturing us on the need for gun control and he says he has no idea how or where his son got the guns. Of course he doesn’t know. You know why he doesn’t know? Because he is not, and has never been in his son’s life. He’s a complete failure as a father, he should be embarrassed to even show his face in public. He’s the problem here. He brags that he has never held a gun in his life and that he had no idea that his son had any guns. Why didn’t he know? Because he failed to raise his son. He should be ashamed of himself, and he owes us all an apology.

Let’s break down what Jindal had to say a little bit.

Yes, it is considered politically incorrect to discuss the fact that the father of this shooter did not raise his son. That’s probably some sort of privilege the Left hasn’t gotten around to naming yet. The fact that this man was not involved in his son’s life, but would so readily jump into this debate headfirst says a lot about his priorities (they weren’t centered on his son).

What on earth did Jindal say that was so wrong? Nothing. All he did was point out one of the biggest social problems we have in modern society: psychological issues stemming from the death of the traditional family. You may not like hearing that. You may think what the governor is saying or what I am saying is too harsh, but the fact of the matter is that this is good breakdown of the utter hypocrisy of this raving lunatic.

Esquire’s problem? They don’t like the truth behind society’s moral collapse.
