The man who was arrested March 10 after jumping the White House fence and jiggling the door knob on the White House residence after roaming the grounds for 20 minutes posted a number of disturbing videos to his YouTube page, including one claiming he’s the author of the Trump-Russia dossier.
From TMZ:
Jonathan Tuan-Anh Tran posted a video on his YouTube channel earlier this month, claiming to be the one who wrote up the controversial document, which contains salacious accusations about the president.
In the bizarre vid — posted March 8 — Tran flashes what appears to be his driver’s license to confirm his ID. Sure enough, his Milpitas, CA address matches up with the fence jumper … according to court docs.
He also says … “I’m currently in Washington D.C. and I’m just making a video to quickly and publicly come out of hiding. I can’t speak too much at the moment about that right now, at this time. But I hope it clears up any confusion or mystery.”
We know from published reports that the jumper had the same name that was shown on the drivers license in the video and that he was from Milpitas, CA, among other things:
Tran told a Secret Service officer that he has “been called schizophrenic,” according to the criminal complaint. He had the Mace in a jacket pocket and a book bag with a book on Trump, a U.S. passport and an Apple laptop, the complaint says.
The video was first posted to Reddit March 19 under the conspiracy category, and links Tran to Pizzagate because of another video he posted. I’m not at all buying in to that; by watching Tran’s videos (and his own comment to the Secret Service) it seems there might be some other mental issues going on and that he has an obsession with Trump and the Russian issue.
What were his intentions if he got to President Trump? To simply warn him of some conspiracy? It’s terrifying that he was allowed to get so close to the White House – even jiggling the doorknob – before being apprehended.

In a longer, rambling video, Tran talks about a conspiracy and a dossier and a transition period – well, it doesn’t make a lot of sense. A partial transcript is below:
In the summer of 2016 I was placed in a situation in which I was — I believe I was in danger of sexual assault, as well as attempted murder for the reasons of financial gain, because of — or — because of several people or individuals in my circle, in an effort in which it appeared that they were ganging up on me to make gains. And my proof for that is, I did my own sleuthing and detective work and did my own investigation of — of our communication records and — and used photos and videos and compiled profiles and created a dossier. At the time I didn’t know what a dossier was. But I did compile information regarding their plans for me. There was a lot of effort to search or find for me, I guess.
He says he tried to warn his hometown authorities. Hopefully they can shed a little light on that, but likely won’t for the time being due to the ongoing investigation and criminal case.
And so I tried to warn the authorities in my hometown, as well as higher authorities at the time, and during this transition period I was kind of turned away for reasons I didn’t understand. And this thing, it’s one of those things that moves from one administration to the other, and it’s quite possible that because it was connected to somebody that became — it became a tool or an instrument of — for smearing of — of the incoming administration. That’s the way I see it. So, that, so far, is my take on this whole Trump/Russia dirty dossier, and that’s my — that’s my testimony, my explanation for that. And I don’t believe that these things belong or should be circulated, but I’m asking for the president’s help in how to deal with this situation and moving forward.
That video was posted February 27.
