During Monday’s presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump at Hofstra University in New York, Trump went after Hillary’s temperament. In his poorly executed attack, The Donald cited Hillary’s crazed rant during her video address to the Laborers’ International Union of North America in which she screams, “Why aren’t I 50 points ahead?” As streiff aptly put it, Hillary’s crazy shouting is one of the “worst moments ever for a political candidate.”
Here’s Hillary’s demented rant:
Here’s The Donald’s failed debate attack:
HOLT: Why is your judgment — why is your judgment any different than Mrs. Clinton’s judgment?
TRUMP: Well, I have much better judgment than she does. There’s no question about that. I also have a much better temperament than she has, you know?
(LAUGHTER)
I have a much better — she spent — let me tell you — she spent hundreds of millions of dollars on an advertising — you know, they get Madison Avenue into a room, they put names — oh, temperament, let’s go after — I think my strongest asset, maybe by far, is my temperament. I have a winning temperament. I know how to win. She does not have a…
HOLT: Secretary Clinton?
TRUMP: Wait. The AFL-CIO the other day, behind the blue screen, I don’t know who you were talking to, Secretary Clinton, but you were totally out of control. I said, there’s a person with a temperament that’s got a problem.
HOLT: Secretary Clinton?
CLINTON: Whew, OK.
(LAUGHTER)
Worse for Trump it became a meme thanks to the following Vine:
And instead of making The Hillary’s unhinged rant as defining as Howard Dean’s Yowl, The Donald enabled a new theme song for Hillary’s campaign:
This dude is coming at me
I just smile and let him be
The dude brought your own rope
He put the bullet in the gun so
I’m just gonna shimmyShimmy Shimmy Shimmy Shimmy
HRC
Shimmy Shimmy Shimmy Shimmy
HillaryHe just keeps on shouting, “Wrong!”
So I’ll get my Jim Halpert on
He is a flightless bird
I think I’ll never say another word
I’ll just be singing this song
Trump, like Obama in 2012, better be much better prepped for the second debate.
