Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett has effectively become the de facto face of the Democrat Party, stealing that positions from New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and not because of all the great work she's doing. Like her predecessor, the ridiculous nonsense flying out of her mouth makes it hard not to focus in on her. Like a train wreck, it's hard to turn away.
On Friday, Nick Arama posted of Crockett's latest moment of absolute insanity, where she went off about the various ways deporting illegal immigrants is a detriment to our country. Among those comments was just one of her greatest hits from this week where she said:
"So I had to go around the country and educate people about what immigrants do for this country, or the fact that we are a country of immigrants. The fact is ain’t none of y’all trying to go and farm right now," Crockett said, garnering a sheepish laugh from a few members of the audience.
"OK, so I'm lying?" Crockett shot back, noticing the awkward silence. "You're not! You're not! We done picking cotton! We are. You can't pay us enough to find a plantation."
She would later follow this up with:
"The reason you can't afford a home is because of these failed immigration policies. The reason you're not going to be able to afford your food is because of these failed immigration policies. And the same can go for the hospitality industries where we have so many of those in the hospitality industry who are saying that they do not have the workers that they need right now."
Crockett seems to think she can say things and people will put as much thought into her words as she does. If she stopped for a second to truly think about what she was saying, she'd have done something I'm pretty sure is nearly impossible for her to do, and that's shut her mouth.
What Crockett did was effectively make it clear that what these illegal immigrants in our country were doing was akin to slave labor. Indeed, illegals worked labor-intensive jobs for very little pay and with no benefits. Business owners in America were exploiting them and their situation.
Now that Trump is deporting illegals, Crockett seems to think the U.S. will need that exploitative labor to be made up for somehow, and the country will turn to black people? Force them back into the cotton fields?
For starters, that's not how this works. Either Crockett knows black people aren't going to be forced into fields, and she's intentionally race baiting to such an extreme degree that only the idiotic would take her seriously... or she doesn't know that, and she's so brainwashed by her own ideological position that she truly believes someone is going to come barge into her office, lead her off in chains, and put her in fields to pick cotton.
I'm not sure which scenario here is worse; her manipulativeness or her idiocy.
The bottom line here is that, with these illegal immigrants gone, these menial labor jobs can be filled by Americans who will be paid for their labor, creating more jobs and thus people with more money and opportunities.
But no matter how you swing it, Crockett just admitted that the labor pulled from illegals was wrong and unfair, and what's more, she's all for it. Her position seems to be, "not me, make them do it." This is a full-on acknowledgement that she knows what was happening was immoral, and that she's okay with it, so long as it's not black people having to do it.
I've pointed out recently that there's something truly awful about the left, especially people like Jasmine Crockett. Her recent rant about how we need DEI because of Kamala Harris's loss to Donald Trump in 2024. Her dedication to Marxist ideals also leaves a lot of questions in the air, such as whether she actually knows she's pushing Marxism or doesn't.
Again, I'll leave you to decide which is worse.

But it seems no matter which form it takes, Crockett seems to be cool with slavery in certain contexts.
