Get ready for “Yanny” or “Laurel” the part deux.
At this time, the internet is currently going bonkers trying to figure out whether or not the famous Sesame Street character known as Grover said the “f-word” during an episode of the classic children’s television series.
Personally, I always wondered if the Street was going to get a bit edgier with its inclusion to the HBO lineup.
In the clip, you can hear Grover tell a fellow muppet character Rosita “yes, that sounds like an excellent idea!” However, one Redditor heard something completely different, with Grover shouting “that’s a f**king excellent idea!”
The post originally appeared on a Reddit thread that soon took the clip viral.
“May have just found next “Yanni or Laurel” soundbite thanks to my daughter’s obsession with Elmo,” said Redditor Schrodert. “Listen once thinking Grover says “Yes, yes, that’s a f**king excellent idea” then again KNOWING he actually says “Yes, yes, that sounds like an excellent idea.” I hear either based on what I’m thinking.”
Judge for yourself.
the new Yanni v. Laurel? — some people swear they hear Grover saying, "that's a f**king excellent idea."

Funny enough, you can hear both if you gear your ears to hear either, but as it stands, people swear up and down they hear the lovable old character say THE word.
Yep, F-bomb… Then again I also think Martha Raddatz cried on election night, so…

Umm he absolutely says it. Who can’t hear that?

I always knew that Grover had a rough underbelly. I love him all the more.
