Since last summer, the federal government has relentlessly pushed COVID-19 vaccine mandates. After initially saying they would never implement such a regime, they first started with federal workers and contractors. But the real turning point was Joe Biden’s announcement of a vaccine mandate for private companies. That OSHA rule remains a mystery, though many major corporations have already followed the president’s lead in enforcing their own mandates.
All along the way, one justification was given for why such an encroachment on liberty was necessary: We must protect the vaccinated from the unvaccinated.
In fact, that was the overwhelming theme in Biden’s angry, divisive speech on his private business mandate. He spoke of the unvaccinated as an evil, almost murderous segment of the population, and he did so again just last week when he joked about the unvaccinated not having the “freedom” to spread the virus. The clear indication from Biden and the entirety of the federal government has been that the vaccinated do not spread COVID-19.
Yet, a new study confirms what many of us have been saying for a long time — the vaccinated not only spread COVID-19, but they do so at around the same rate as everyone else.
Vaccinated people are just as likely as unvaccinated people to spread the delta variant to contacts in their household, a yearlong study found https://t.co/2Px9LM5WcB

People inoculated against Covid-19 are just as likely to spread the delta variant of the virus to contacts in their household as those who haven’t had shots, according to new research.
In a yearlong study of 621 people in the U.K. with mild Covid-19, scientists found that their peak viral load was similar regardless of vaccination status, according to a paper published Thursday in The Lancet Infectious Diseases medical journal…
…“Our findings show that vaccination alone is not enough to prevent people from being infected with the delta variant and spreading it in household settings,” said Ajit Lalvani, a professor of infectious diseases at Imperial College London who co-led the study. “The ongoing transmission we are seeing between vaccinated people makes it essential for unvaccinated people to get vaccinated to protect themselves.”
While the study did show a small difference in infection rates among the vaccinated (13%), they found that viral load was essentially the same between the vaccinated and unvaccinated, causing similar spread rates in households. In other words, if you have the vaccine, you may be slightly less likely to contract the disease yourself, but you spread it to others at or near the same rate as everyone else.
This is something I’ve been saying for a long time because Delta-wave infection rates made it apparent. It is an impossibility for Vermont, for example, to have seen its highest caseload ever with over 88% of adults vaccinated if the vaccinated weren’t spreading the virus at a high rate. We’ve seen that same thing play out in other countries, as well.
FYI: Millions of Americans are about to lose their livelihoods because they won’t get vaccinated. The justification of this is always “the public health” and why they should “protect others”.

What this all does is completely destroy the federal government’s justification (and the justification of state governments and private businesses) to mandate vaccines. If everyone spreads the virus at around the same rate as this study found, then vaccination is definitively proven to be a personal choice. An unvaccinated person is not putting a vaccinated person at higher risk. You are not abusing “freedom” as Biden suggested by not getting vaccinated.
Rather, everyone is at risk from everyone, therefore people should make the decision to get vaccinated based on their own factors because no matter what, they are likely going to get COVID-19 at some point, whether it be from a vaccinated or unvaccinated person. No amount of mandates is going to stop that.
That we ever got to the point of taking people’s jobs over these mandates is disgusting. The federal government had to have had some prior information pointing to the fact that the vaccinated spread the virus. Yet, the president and others have trashed the unvaccinated as grandma killing rubes anyway. That kind of division never ends well.
