If Joe Biden thought getting Bernie Sanders to bend the knee was going to soothe the Democratic base, he may have miscalculated. Former top surrogates for Bernie Sanders are speaking out and they have nothing nice to say about the former VP, nor their former candidate of choice.

I’ve written on Briahna Joy Gray recently. She lashed out at the DNC leadership last week, citing a Tucker Carlson montage that hit Biden hard.

Bernie was too kind to go after Biden, but it's coming.

Either Dem leadership cares more abt maintaining a corporate status quo than getting rid of Trump, or they're planning to replace Joe – adopting a pretty fast and loose relationship w/ representative Democracy.

David Sirota and Shaun King are also making noise, with King pointing out that Joe Biden was literally reading from a teleprompter in his supposed “informal” question and answer with Bernie Sanders today. The thing was obviously choreographed and scripted, with Biden not even being asked about Medicare for All, which was the former centerpiece of the Sanders campaign.

None of these personalities are going to go quietly and fall in line. What remains to be seen is how much this will impact the fringe of the Sanders’ movement. That may be a fraction of his support, but even that fraction can swing the election. In 2016, polls showed something like 10% of Sanders voters went for Trump and there’s no telling how many simply didn’t vote.

Regardless, you can expect a lot more friction over the next several months. None of this means Trump doesn’t have a dogfight on his hands, but any little bit of disunity among one’s enemy helps.
