CNN 'Supervillain' Scott Jennings May Move on From 'Owning the Libs' to Take His Talents to Higher Office

Political strategist and one-time Bush the Second aide Scott Jennings has become a star on CNN since Donald Trump retook office, as he is the sole voice of reason on the otherwise useless, far-left network. He regularly destroys the other correspondents like Abby Phillip by nuking their gaslighting and bringing brutal doses of reality.

He summed it up best himself at Monday’s Trump rally in Michigan celebrating the first 100 days of the administration:

Michigan! We were flying in here today, and I said, "Look at these farms. I got to get a farm in Michigan, 'cause when you own as many libs as I do, you got to put a place to put 'em all."

But Jennings – the man the Daily Beast labeled in a Wednesday headline as a “CNN Supervillain,” may soon be taking his talents elsewhere, as he has other pursuits in mind:

CNN pundit Scott Jennings is mulling a run to replace retiring Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), according to a new report, but he’s waiting to hear first from President Trump.

“If the president wants me, I’ll run,” the conservative political strategist spilled at an afterparty following the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, DC, last Saturday, according to the Daily Beast.

The Daily Beast’s coverage is so sarcastic, so bitter and contemptuous, that you know the flame-throwing pundit has gotten under their skin and is living rent-free in their minds:

You can see it on his face and hear it in his voice. The network’s token conservative commentator would love to be the next senator from his home state of Kentucky. But when might he get around to announcing whether he’s waging a 2026 campaign?

“If the president wants me, I’ll run,” Jennings told a Swamp tipster at a bougie espresso martini-swilling party at the Swiss ambassador’s residence following the White House Correspondents’ bash on Saturday.

There’s more, but I think I’ve had enough of their toxicity for the day. To be fair, it must not be fun to have someone much smarter and more eloquent than you consistently calling you out on your BS.

Jennings has his priorities in order:

Former Senate Majority Leader McConnell has suffered health issues in recent times—including several “freezing episodes” and seems to have lost much of his influence as he has never been that close to Trump. The president is clearly in control of the party, leaving McConnell somewhat of an afterthought.

As RedState’s Sister Toldjah reported, Jennings’ name has been floated before:

As expected, the race to replace McConnell is already on, with former Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron having officially declared his intentions not long after McConnell made his announcement.

Though some media outlets have suggested Cameron "is widely seen as the heir apparent to McConnell," there is another well-known Kentucky Republican who is reportedly being encouraged to throw his hat into the ring as well: longtime GOP political strategist/CNN commentator Scott Jennings.

While Jennings would be an excellent addition to the Senate, I would miss him as the sole voice of reason at CNN. Watching him own the libs has become popcorn-worthy entertainment, and I would miss seeing their crushed faces as he destroys their gaslighting narratives. If he does win a Senate seat, at least we can hope he does the same to the odious Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA).
