Let's be honest: What else can he say?
The national Democrat Party is in a deep funk. The man they've been trying to ruin politically for just about 10 years now isn't ruined. He's prospering. He was reelected in an historic election.
He's moved into positive territory for the first time in his political polling career. He's now moving at an effective and rapid pace, as governments move, to impose a radical new vision on a federal government that normally moves at the speed of sloths.
This involves undoing much of the work done by Joe Biden these last four sad years.
Democrats are watching in stunned disbelief and, without any coherent leader, so far unable to do anything about it. Except sometimes complain to sympathetic television news crews. Think Chuck Schumer, whining from behind his granny glasses that are always about to fall off his New York nose.
As I suggested in this week's Sunday column, this is all great good fun to witness, applaud, and marvel at as we watch the major renovations taking place.
Also on the weekend, some Democrats met in Maryland to elect a new chair for the Democratic National Committee. Not the most sought-after job in today's news world. Such groups are basically useless when that party is out of power in the Swamp. They try to keep spirits up, raise money, and convince candidates to join their cause.
Let's see, Democrats lost the White House in November and also the Senate, and Republicans already controlled the House.
So, that makes the Democrat Party totally out of DC power for the next two years at least. That is an uncomfortable, frustrating position in the Swamp. You can't really do anything except little-noticed photo ops complaining about the District's real action figures.
Democrats knew they were in trouble last summer. So, they set out to defeat Donald Trump by calling in the cavalry to help Kamala Harris. She turned to Minnesota to borrow the governor there, Tim Walz. That didn't turn out well.
So, now for a new face, a new energy, and a new spirit to rebuild their party, Democrats called in the chairman of Minnesota's progressive party, the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. He began in politics as an aide to Minnesota's late firebrand Sen. Paul Wellstone.
After his election, the new chair, Ken Martin, made a victory stop, you guessed it, on troubled MSNBC where he assured the minute viewing audience that the Democrat Party is not dead. Talk about an underwhelming claim.
This is what we discuss in the week's audio commentary. Don't forget to join the discussion in the Comments below.
The most recent audio commentary examined how the new president's impressive pace of work and major reforms uncovered the conspiracy to cover up the true origin of the COVID virus. Now, we know why Anthony Fauci was so eager to get Joe Biden's blanket pardon running back to — Wow! — 2014.
This week's column detailed the sprawling impacts of President Trump's impressive first 100 hours in office. Now, he's finishing up his next 140 hours and the pace and productivity remain astounding.
In other news of interest, my RedState colleagues are busy covering Trump's blunt warning to Iran about what would happen over there if something bad was to happen to him.
Surprising news just keeps emerging from within the new administration: The Central Intelligence Agency, now under new leadership, is offering employee buyouts — to every single employee.
And finally, I really love this one, the Woke world in Hollywood has gotten itself into a very awkward position and PR mess for this year's awards on March 10th. It involves the Academy's Oscar nomination for Best Actress.
They nominated a biological male.
For the rest of us, it's a good guffaw as DEI goes the way of silent films.
