Every now and then, something astonishing happens — as Vanessa Williams sang, “Sometimes the snow comes down in June, sometimes the sun goes ’round the moon.”
And sometimes — though, perhaps, not again in your lifetime — someone on CNN compliments Donald Trump.
Such a cosmic occurrence happened Tuesday, in response to the President’s handling of the coronavirus.
Incredibly, anchor Dana Bash gave a high-five to the Commander-in-Chief after dismissing criticism from neurosurgeon/reporter Snajay Gupta.
According to Dana, The Donald’s “tone” over the past couple days has been fantastic:
“If you look at the big picture, this was remarkable by the President of the United Sates. This is a nonpartisan, this is an important thing to note and to applaud, from an American standpoint, from a human standpoint.”
On CNN
This was remarkable from the President of the United States…[President @realDonaldTrump] is being the kind of leader that people need.

Moreover, New York’s most famous billionaire is — buckle up — the kind of man people need right now:
“[Trump] is being the kind of leader that people need, at least in tone, today and yesterday, in tone, that people need and want and yearn for in times of crises and uncertainty.”
What sorcery is this?
It’s not the network’s normal way.
Such was observed by The Daily Wire:
CNN has been notably negative with their coverage of Trump, once even attempting to create a scandalous story over the president choosing not one, but two scoops of ice cream for dessert.
Heck, on Friday, some people couldn’t even get past the number of white people overseeing COVID-19:
Note that Trump’s coronavirus team is all male, all old, and all white.

Not a press conference. It's a parade of white men kissing Trump's ass.
Groveling sycophants.
Obama never needed people to feed his ego when the country was panicking & in national crisis.#NationalEmergency#sycophants#TrumpPressConference

I guess we maybe should have guessed this Trump coronavirus press conference would be a hundred straight white men stroking each other's egos and passing coronavirus to each other through handshakes on live TV.

Back to Trump’s leadership, he’s pushing an $850 billion stimulus package.
And on Monday, the President released his “15 Days to Slow the Spread” guidelines (here).
How do we get 15 days to slow the spread of this kind of stuff, returning to CNN:
#TBT: When the Democratic National Committee Chair Claimed Republicans Want to RID AMERICA OF WOMEN
15 days would be amazing. It’s the kind of reprieve from absurdity that people need.
