Some people are going to be mad.

So brace for the heckling over heaven this weekend: Donald Trump has declared Sunday, March 15th, a National Day of Prayer.
Yep.
Soon after announcing a state of emergency over the virus Friday — allocating over $50 billion for state and local response — POTUS took to Twitter to raise the mane of neigh-sayers everywhere.
But wait — I thought if someone prays, they don’t believe in doing anything else whatsoever about any problem?
Oh, well. The President even observed — Trigger Warning — that America “has looked to God for protection and strength in times like these.”
Buckle those seat belts:
“It is my great honor to declare Sunday, March 15th as a National Day of Prayer. We are a Country that, throughout our history, has looked to God for protection and strength in times like these,” Trump tweeted. “No matter where you may be, I encourage you to turn towards prayer in an act of faith. Together, we will easily PREVAIL!”

The Very Alarmed among us have even more anxiety coming: May 7th approaches, and that’s the annual National Day of Prayer.
Faith has, of course, gotten quite the embrace from this presidency; at February’s State of the Union, Trump noted, “In America we celebrate faith. We cherish religion. We lift our voices in prayer and we raise our sights to the glory of God.”
If that’s the case, it certainly makes sense for sights to be angled upward in time of crisis.
But the administration’s managed to do both: believe in God and also do things.
As reported by The Associated Press, the Commander-in-Chief said Friday that “he was also giving Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar emergency authorities to waive federal regulations and laws to give doctors and hospitals ‘flexibility’ in treating patients.”
The Daily Wire points out there was even more bad news for the anti- crowd: As the President spoke on the state of emergency, stocks rose more than 3%.
Poor critics.
But if you feel sorry for them, there’s something you can do: On Sunday, pray for them.
