OUTRAGE: Riley Gaines Was Assaulted by a Mob at a California University, and They Are Now Ignoring It

Riley Gaines is fighting for fairness in women's sports. She has expended a great deal of energy, campaigning against allowing men to compete in women's sports; she has demonstrated great determination, great dedication, and no small amount of grit in her campaign.

In April of 2023, after a speech at San Francisco State University, Riley was assaulted by an angry mob of transgender activists, who actually held her captive for a time. There are any number of legal charges that should be filed against Riley's attackers, including assault and kidnapping. But none of those charges have been filed, and now the university has suspended any investigation into the matter.

Former NCAA swimmer and women's sports activist Riley Gaines joined "Fox & Friends" to discuss her reaction to a San Francisco college's suspension of the investigation into a hostage incident where she was held for ransom.

Police said the alleged charges she made were "unfounded," but Gaines hit back, calling the decision by the university police, "abysmal."

Gaines, the director of the Riley Gaines Center at the Leadership Institute and an Outkick contributor, is an advocate for girls in women's sports.

In April 2023, she spoke at an event at San Francisco State University hosted by a conservative campus organization, Turning Point USA, where she discussed her experience during senior year of college competing against transgender swimmer Lia Thomas, who she had tied for fifth place in a national swimming championship.

It's hard to see how Riley's accusations could possibly be "unfounded," when to any sane observer it is obvious that these charges are very well founded indeed; Riley was attacked, she was held captive, and now not one member of the mob that assaulted her will face any consequences, which of course means they will do it again.

Riley described what the attack was like:

After her speech, Gaines was assaulted by a mob of violent protesters that she said stormed into the room, turning off the lights and assaulted her before holding her hostage for ransom.

"There's an abundance of evidence that what I am claiming happened, happened," Gaines said.

"There's audio evidence, there's video evidence, there are eyewitnesses who were there at the time. Heck, the officer who sent me the email saying that the charges were unfounded was being held for ransom in the room with me."

Equal treatment under the law has been dead for some time, and it's obvious that the campus system at San Francisco State University will clearly not take any action to bring Riley's attackers to account.

There simply isn't any justification for this beyond-wokeness. The audacity of the university staggers definition; Riley has audio evidence, video evidence, and personal testimony--and her claim is "unfounded?"

What an enormous stinking pile of codswallop.

University security should be held to the same standard as civil police or, indeed, anything the government does, and the rule applies: What the government does for anyone government must do for everyone or it must do for no one. This is the case here, and the San Francisco State University has not failed; failure would imply an attempt was made. They have instead ignored Riley's attack and for this, heads should roll. And until those heads roll, until charges are filed and people prosecuted, the malefactors will only be emboldened and they will do this again and again. And the gross unfairness of men competing in women's sports? That will continue, too.
