We love Elon Musk here at RedState, no doubt about that.
Mostly because the guy is a news-generating machine and loved to speak out on controversial topics even before he purchased X (formerly known as Twitter). He's since made free speech a priority for the platform, although he's also still focused on making some dough.
We have covered Elon quite a bit here as I just did the other day when he advocated for regular Americans to become citizen journalists, just like Andrew Breitbart called for over a decade ago. Elon Musk Joins Dave Portnoy on the Andrew Breitbart-Citizen Journalism Bandwagon
Please encourage more citizen journalism! You can do live video easily from your phone.

More on-the-ground reporting from regular citizens will change the world.
As I wrote:
I could not agree more.
What both of these people's actions have in common is that they are picking up from the playbook that Andrew Breitbart created.
Andrew was just not the founder of Breitbart News but was also somebody who loved to jump into the muck of the biased leftist journalist antics that he had witnessed and at one point, had agreed with for so many years before he realized it was wrong. This is what made him absolutely invaluable to a whole generation of people who got involved in politics particularly after the Tea Party Movement began.
Also, his back and forth with AOC has been a joy to watch as my colleague Nick Arama covered a couple of days ago: Elon Claps Back on AOC on Question of Illegal Aliens and Her Attack Over His Border Visit
X social media platform owner Elon Musk and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) have been in a bit of a battle, going back and forth on social media, for some months now.
But over the past couple of days, the battle has heated up again -- over the issue of illegal aliens flooding into the country and the failure of the Biden administration to do anything to stop the flow.
AOC made a ridiculous comment about Ellis Island, saying millions flooded through there, as though the fact that there was a lot of legal immigration was a justification for the chaos of illegal entry that we have now.
Musk shot back that she was "just not very smart."
Then AOC had a meltdown about that, listing her "achievements," as limited and pitiful as they are, to a man who has done so much.
I wasn’t born rich and became the youngest woman in American history to be elected to Congress.

Then I investigated Cohen, authored the largest FEMA funeral assistance program in history and led creation of a US Climate Corps to create tens of thousands of new jobs.

Those two are just like Ricky and Lucy all over again, aren't they?
So while Elon is not down at the border or having AOC flirt with him, he is sometimes making unique observations on the world around us. I had to stop and take notice when I saw this:
Business tycoon Elon Musk said that he would rather land in prison than dismiss workers for refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine.
"My concern was more the outrageous demand that people *must* take the vaccine and multiple boosters to do anything at all. That was messed up," Musk wrote in a Tuesday post on X. "Until the Supreme Court invalidated Biden’s exec order, SpaceX and many other companies would have been forced to fire anyone who refused to get vaccinated! We would not have done so. I would rather go to prison than fire good people who didn't want to be jabbed."
Hot damn.
While I just showed above that I do enjoy reading about Elon, I'm not so much of a lackey that I'm just going to absolutely take for granted what he says about refusing a government mandate for employees to take the vax. SpaceX and probably a number of his other companies do depend on government contracts to pay the bills, and the Biden Administration was trying to force that down anyone's throat who was receiving Uncle Sam dollars.
On the other hand, who would be better positioned to actually back up our moral stance of denying the jab than somebody who would be able to afford the top lawyers in the country and be able to fight the government in federal court? Could you imagine the scene of Elon Musk having to turn himself in, or the feds doing a Mar-a-Lago-type raid to arrest Musk and throw him in jail?
That would definitely break the internet, and it would highlight the absolutely overreaching, heavy-handed approach that the Biden Administration was taking at the time. I can't imagine the repercussions of it, but I would hope that it might be one of those moments in American history when people would stop and think, you know what, the government is going a bit too far with this.
Yet since the Biden Administration has rolled back some of their more draconian rules, who knows if it'll ever happen? Unless of course another round of COVID starts to spread and Scranton Joe figures it might be the only way to take bouncing baby Hunter off the front pages and try to change the subject.
I know this is just wild speculation, but in case you haven't seen some of the things that people in government are doing and trying to do to us, you know it's not totally out of the realm of possibility.
