If it is true that timing is everything, look at the timing of what the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, is planning to do next week. He will be launching his new social media site Truth Social.

If I may be so bold to borrow a line from a song of the almost geriatric Marshall Mathers, Twitter “felt so empty” without Trump. I know that Twitter is not going anywhere but I get the feeling that it will be showing a whole bunch of screenshots from the new Trump platform and the folks there won’t like it a damn bit.

Here is a refresher from last October when POTUS 45 announced what he was up to.

Trump, who will serve as TMTG’s chairman, first announced the creation of Truth Social last fall, saying the platform would create a rival social network to the current ‘liberal media consortium’ and ‘fight back against the ‘Big Tech’ companies of Silicon Valley, which have used their unilateral power to silence opposing voices in America.

‘I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech. We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced,’ he said in October.

‘This is unacceptable. I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I’m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech. Everyone asks me why doesn’t someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will be soon!’

Well, yesterday Donald Trump Jr dropped on the world a message from the former President on what looks to be and quite possibly is (wanna make sure NPR and CNN don’t fact check this as false) the new site that launches next week.

The Daily Mail above says that the site goes live next Monday on Presidents Day of all days.

You can say whatever you want on Twitter or Facebook about Donald Trump, as long as it is bad, but you have to give him this, President Mean Tweets knows how to troll and does it so well. Just thinking of how he will handle commenting on anything with no fear of being banned is more than the (progressive) mind can handle.

As I mentioned above, his timing could not be better. Currently, we have some of the top stories in the world being bounced around and they are, the Canadian Prime Minster’s overreach to combat the truckers. Trudeau Is Already Threatening Civil Liberties With His Power Grab.

Then there’s the mess in Ukraine and Russia BREAKING: Biden Flails as Putin Castles the Ukraine Chessboard.

Also, maybe you have been watching CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC which means you missed a story involving Trump and the 2016 election that flips the script on what Hillary and her cohorts have said all along about her loss to the Don. Soon we get unfiltered Trump on all this and much much more.

While I look forward to Trump being Trump on this site, I also realize there is a serious issue here that hopefully, this new site is able to address. Helping combat the thin skin of the Terms of Service nazis on Twitter and Facebook. That mythical standard which no one ever really knows what it is they violated but it might have something to do with being conservative is maddening.

Just yesterday, a very popular Twitter account that just showed screenshots of people saying hypocritical things was suspended for the elusive T.O.S. violation. One of the Best Accounts on Twitter Just Got Banned for Doing Absolutely Nothing. From that article…

What Defiant Ls does, and what makes it so brilliant, is all the account does is screenshot tweets from hypocrites (mostly left-wingers) and puts those contrasting positions side by side. They never comment on the screenshots they post, and they don’t encourage harassment of anyone. In fact, by using screenshots instead of quote tweets, Defiant Ls eliminates the direct link to the hypocrite’s account.

In short, it’s one of the best accounts on Twitter because the hypocrites in question provide 100 percent of the material for what Defiant Ls does. There can be no claims of bias or “misinformation” in that scenario because all that’s being posted are the exact words of the people who contradicted themselves.

Progressives never want to fight on a level playing field and have to make up rules as they go along to limit speech and call you a racist while they are at it. They have been very successful with this so far and the story of Defiant Ls getting the ban hammer is not uncommon for those tweaking the lefties.

Now, with Trump launching Truth Social and the flock of people who will jump to that site, possibly the leveling of the playing field might be beginning. I don’t ever see Twitter or Facebook going away, but the more voices the merrier quote is valid and Donald Trump, as we know, likes to stir things up as we have seen the past seven years of his political life.
