Joe Rogan, for the past month or so, has been all the rage on social media, and rightly so. One of the most listened to podcasters in the world is expected to stir the water occasionally and Rogan along with his detractors are causing a whirlpool of controversy on a number of different fronts.
Here is just a sampling from my colleagues here in the hallowed halls of Red State.

That is just a small example of what Rogan is stirring up.
With most controversies, there is always a beginning and eventually an ending, and as I was thinking about when this first started, I went back to October of 2021 when Joe had on CNN medical expert Dr. Sanjay Gupta. Rogan had just rebounded from COVID and was curious as to why CNN had covered his diagnosis by flat out lying about what he had taken in the form of ivermectin.

CNN has been especially notable in the way it, as a network, has targeted the podcaster. Rogan had on CNN medical expert Dr. Sanjay Gupta, and he had to admit that his network had delivered false reports about Rogan and his medical treatment when he tested positive for COVID. Repeatedly, CNN personalities claimed that Rogan had taken horse deworming medication. And now their personalities are the ones pushing for him to be removed over alleged medical misinformation.
That is, half a dozen examples, from the same news source. Let’s add to that Don Lemon, who declared flatly of Rogan, “he says he is taking several medications including a drug meant for deworming livestock.” When he was called out on this blatant lie – or, at best, his stunted ignorance on the medication – Lemon doubled down. When Dr. Gupta was on Lemon’s show, post-Rogan, they both attempted to clean up his, and the network’s statements.
Ivermectin is the topic here in this clip and Rogan simply nails the CNN doc to the wall about his network lying about what he and others were taking to help with the effects of COVID-19. Gupta keeps tapping out desperately trying to change the subject but Joe won’t let up and it is marvelous to watch. View the clip below.

Gupta: horse dewormer is not a flattering thing, I get that.
Rogan: it’s a lie, it’s a lie on a news network, and it’s a lie that they are conscious of its not a mistake.
Gupta: yeah
Rogan: they are unfavorably framing it as veterinary medicine.
The sampling above from the video was where I believe it was laid out to the leftists, not only at CNN but across all platforms, that this Joe Rogan guy was a danger to them. Rogan is not an ideologue and nowhere near a conservative, but he is first and foremost a comic who finds people interesting. All of that is fine for the leftists with dreams of Marxist parades being thrown in their honor. The part though that just grinds them to dust is that he has the testicular fortitude to not blindly follow this failed narrative crap off a cliff.
The reason why he won’t is that he is a good comic.
I know that sounds a bit odd but I have found that good comics are incredibly good at observing human behavior and turning that into some good jokes or stories. You can have a certain point of view but you do not want to leave something on the DO NOT TALK ABOUT list if it could be used for gaining laughs. Leftist late-night talk show hacks always leave good material on the floor being the narrative is more important than telling a good joke. Joe Rogan won’t do that, so in the eyes of the ax grinders at CNN and other places he needs to be destroyed.
Rogan is not alone in this pushback against the thin-skinned bunch of whiners. The reason why I bring up comics pushing back on the #woke nonsense of today is that if we are to begin unwinding and pushing back on this feeling over everything else malarkey, those who tell jokes for a living will need to lead the way. Most of them slept while this neo-fascist, thought police crap crept into our society. Now that people like Maher, and others that are popular like Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, and Ricky Gervais, are willing to point and laugh, we should follow their lead.
Because you know the left hates it when people laugh at them. Good lord, do they hate it. How dare people laugh at their obvious smugness and ‘smarter than thou’ assertions.
Now, I do not give a flying rat’s you-know-what if Maher and others are left of center from me. A lot of my friends do not see the world as I do, and I have no issue with that. I mock them for it and vice versa.
Rational people do not care if someone agrees on every little thing with them which is why good comics thrive. They can hit all bases for the laughs.
People who work at CNN and think they are enlightened by some virtue they do not possess can’t stand the thought of anyone not seeing everything as they do. So when a Joe Rogan comes along who they secretly thought was one of them and calls them to the mat it drives them insane. Add on to the fact that he has a larger audience than they do and you have a grudge match in the making.
It all started when Gupta was destroyed back in October of 2021.
Hopefully, Brian Stelter will recover.
