HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!

*gulp*

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!

For those who truly do despise “fake news,” today brings a bit of hopeful (and hilarious) news.

Possibly the lead purveyor of fake, crass, ridiculously cloddish news and conspiracy theories is getting uncomfortably close to losing their YouTube channel.

That would be InfoWars, for those of you who didn’t get it on the first guess, just from my description.

Apparently, YouTube has a 3-strike rule, and the Alex Jones outfit hit strike 2 last week, with a video about the Parkland shooting.

An alert on the strike was sent to the channel.

“This is the second strike applied to your account within three months. As a result, you’re unable to post new content to YouTube for two weeks,” the alert said. “If there are no further issues, the ability to upload will be automatically restored after this two week period.”

According to CNN, they had their first strike last week, so when the notice of a second strike came, as it is with petulant trolls, InfoWars referred to the strikes as a CNN “lobbying campaign.”

Yeah. Way to self-reflect.

A channel that receives three strikes from YouTube within three months is banned from the platform. While Infowars has several other ways to promote its videos — including an online radio show, its own website, Twitter and Facebook — a ban would cut Infowars off from its YouTube subscribers, which number more than 2 million.

The first “strike” apparently had to do with Parkland survivor-turned-activist David Hogg. The video was titled “David Hogg Can’t Remember His Lines In TV Interview.”

The suggestion there was that Hogg was a so-called “crisis actor.”

He’s not.

He’s a deeply misguided child, but not an actor.

This isn’t the first time InfoWars has jumped on a tragedy involving kids to push their conspiracy crap.

Back in 2012, they claimed the same thing about the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, even as parents were burying their little children.

If they do make that final strike within the next few weeks, you’d see a blessed drop in actual “fake news” being promoted across social media. I’m sure of it.
