Listen up, North Carolinians (or anybody that has an appreciation for the safety and privacy aspect of bathrooms), there may be a vote on repealing the Old North State’s controversial bathroom bill, HB2, today.

News came that a deal was reached late Wednesday night between state legislators and Roy Cooper, the Democrat governor who used the right of men to get at little girls in the privacy of public restrooms as a battle flag for reprobates everywhere, during the 2016 election.

Yeah, that’s pretty much all he had, but it was enough to bring in millions of dollars of outside money from groups that don’t really care about the safety of North Carolina’s women and children.

From the Raleigh News & Observer:

“I support the House Bill 2 repeal compromise that will be introduced tomorrow,” Cooper said in a statement. “It’s not a perfect deal, but it repeals House Bill 2 and begins to repair our reputation.”

According to a statement from Berger and Moore, the bill would:

▪ Repeal HB2.

▪ Leave bathroom regulation to the state, essentially returning to the status quo before Charlotte passed a 2016 ordinance allowing transgender people to use the restroom of their gender identity.

▪ Enact a moratorium on similar ordinances until Dec. 1, 2020.

In other words, this new bill would put things back to the way they were before the liberal Charlotte City Council decided to force their corrupt worldview on the citizens of Charlotte, a move that forced Governor McCrory and the state General Assembly to move to protect the privacy and safety of women and children in the state, as well as to protect business owners from the insanity of the left.

The part about the Charlotte City Council ordinance that is always left out of the media accounts is that they were proposing hefty fines, and/or jail time for anybody that balked at the idea of men strolling into the ladies room.

So weird that HB2 is always made out to be this machination of Republican bullies, when in fact, it was a protection against liberal bullies.

Speaking of liberal bullies, you can count the NCAA and the ACC among those bullies.

The NCAA has tax-exempt status, yet, they’re tossing their weight around, punishing North Carolina’s college athletes as a way of strong arming the state into throwing open the bathroom doors to every manner of perversion, all in the name of “tolerance.”

Meanwhile, in every state they’re moving their championship games to, the arenas and venues have bathrooms segregated by gender.

HYPOCRITES!

The movement on HB2 comes ahead of a reported Thursday deadline from the NCAA to make changes to the controversial law or lose the ability to host sports championships through 2022. The announcement of a deal capped a whirlwind day of meetings at the legislature and phone calls to the governor.

That’s right. The NCAA is making these mafia-styled threats against the state, and people are scrambling.

The passage of HB2, which basically said, “How things have been is how they should stay” just gave reprobates a platform to stand on and shout their insanity.

The notion of a compromise deal – something they never wanted – has got the usual suspects riled.

For some HB2 opponents, the proposed compromise was too much. Rep. Cecil Brockman, one of two openly LGBT lawmakers, slammed the door in frustration when leaving a caucus meeting. The Human Rights Campaign and Equality NC issued a news release as negotiations continued.

“The rumored HB2 ‘deal’ does nothing more than double-down on discrimination and would ensure North Carolina remains the worst state in the nation for LGBTQ people,” HRC President Chad Griffin said in a statement. “The consequences of this hateful law will only continue without full repeal of HB2. Sellouts cave under pressure. Leaders fight for what’s right.”

Worst state in the nation?

Well, by all means, can I help you pack? Nobody should be forced to stay in such deplorable conditions, where the unemployment rate is hovering around 5 percent, the business climate is one of the top in the nation (even with sex-specific bathrooms), the people are friendly, and the state boasts some of the most breathtakingly beautiful beaches and mountain territory in the nation.

Yeah. Get to stepping. We promise to miss you, if you just go, and while you’re at it, take your twisted friends.

The Senate vote is set for 9:15am this morning, so I’ll likely be posting an update to this story.
