Three short weeks ago, Joe Biden’s candidacy was given up for dead. The Bernie surge looked to be real after the Iowa caucuses, the New Hampshire primary, and the Nevada caucuses. However, the Democrat Establishment marshaled all of their resources (panicked?), and a crescendo of endorsements of Joe Biden began, reaching a frenzied peak on the day before Super Tuesday.
The legacy media were filled with ecstatic editorials about Biden’s “miracle comeback” on Super Tuesday. Here is one from the Democrat sycophants at CNN. And “Joe-mentum” has subsequently continued through “Mini-Tuesday,” and Biden is now riding high with 861 total delegate commitments to Sanders’ 710, according to Real Clear Politics.
However, methinks the Democrat Establishment’s celebration of the resuscitation of Biden’s campaign while declaring his victory is more than a bit premature. Here is one sign of the thunderclouds that are building. Democrats like House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC), whose endorsement of Biden was instrumental in turning the tide for Biden and delivering South Carolina for him, have recommended “shutting this primary down” (but for reasons different from what he said here):
“I think when the night is over, Joe Biden will be the prohibitive favorite to win the Democratic nomination, and quite frankly, if the night ends the way it has begun, I think it is time for us to shut this primary down, it is time for us to cancel the rest of these debates — because you don’t do anything but get yourself in trouble if you continue in this contest when it’s obvious that the numbers will not shake out for you,” he said.
The real reason that Clyburn and other Establishment Democrats are pushing for ending the primary campaign now is due to Biden’s obviously deteriorating mental health, multiple video examples of which were provided in this article. His campaign is already taking steps to minimize the time Biden spends in front of people on the campaign trail, as noted here:
Biden has recently shortened his stump speech on the campaign trail, with addresses at stops over the weekend ranging from seven to about 15 minutes. The Biden campaign did not comment to the Post about the apparent shift, but it seems likely that the strategy is designed to limit the former vice president’s gaffes.
This won’t solve the problem, though, and the Democrats know it. They’ve got some tough choices to make in the months ahead, as noted here:
It’s hard to imagine that Biden hasn’t undergone a neurological exam, especially with his access to the very best health care (though an elderly person can be in denial and refuse such tests). It’s also hard to imagine that such examination would find normal functioning. This can make one wonder what perhaps is being hidden – and what might be revealed when the right time comes.
When might this be? It has been said that the ex-vice president is deteriorating rapidly. If he is in even worse shape come July and party elders and those close to him (e.g., his wife) can persuade him to step aside, he could be replaced. The rules on who’d choose his replacement are clear, too: the Democratic National Committee would, via a meeting of its hundreds of members.
What does this mean for Bernie Sanders, who has defiantly declared that he is staying in the race all the way to Milwaukee, and is doubtless preparing for his one-on-one debate with Biden in Phoenix on Sunday? He can definitely do something to once again prove the old proverb that “what goes up, must come down” – in this case, the trajectory of Joe Biden’s campaign – by being the personal instigator of that decline. There are two topics that he must force into Sunday’s debate.
1. Biden’s Mental Health. This topic is the elephant in the room. Virtually anyone with a brain who has been observing Biden over the past several months knows that he’s got a real problem that can’t be excused away by his campaign, the Democrat Establishment, or the media, no matter how much they would like to be able to do so. The rest of us – including Democrat voters – know that he has a problem that has not been adequately addressed in a forthright manner (e.g., through a complete neurological exam). Imagine what the legacy media would be demanding if President Trump had made but a fraction of the outlandish gaffes that Biden has just within the past month!
Bernie needs to take this issue right to Biden, either through direct confrontation in order to stimulate another catastrophic response – like when he confronted that Detroit autoworker on Tuesday …
WOW
Biden's strategy to win Mich?
Tell informed voters they are "full of sh*t"
He also insults this freedom-loving American as a "horse's ass," lies that he didn't just say Beto will run gun control, & calls the most popular gun in US an "AR 14" pic.twitter.com/Un0M5vMOZy

… or by demanding that Biden undergo a complete neurological exam, with the results made publicly available to assuage the voters. Bernie cannot allow Biden to prevaricate or evade a cogent response to this “Berning question” (pun intended). This is the issue that could pop Biden’s balloon and put Bernie back on the road to the nomination.
2. Biden Family Corruption. Increasingly over the past several months, Americans have gotten glimpses into Biden family corruption and nepotism. Hunter Biden’s Burisma contract – which even Democrat voters understand to be corrupt but don’t want to talk about it because “Joe’s their guy” – is only the tip of the iceberg. Joe’s younger brother James is being sued by Americore and two other health companies for breach of contract and theft of company trade secrets, as was detailed in this article. And then there are the revelations in Peter Schweizer’s book, Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite, which details decades of Biden family corruption. Bernie needs to break the Biden corruption wide open, which should be easy since he’s been railing against “Wall Street corruption” and other related topics for decades. All he needs to do is personalize it by directing his fire straight at Joe Biden. Yes, it’s a bit of a risky proposition since Bernie made his own millions through corrupt actions (as detailed in Schweizer’s book), but his corruption pales in comparison to that of the Biden Five.
Does Bernie truly want to win? Does he have the stones to take it to Biden on Sunday? If he wants to throw the Democrat primaries for yet another loop and truly get back in the running, he’ll drive these two issues home in his debate with Biden on Sunday. We are going to find out if he is truly serious or not about his candidacy, or whether he’s going to roll over and take his payout like he did in 2016.
Hey, Bernie bros! This is your last chance. Time to light a fire under Bernie.
The end.
