While the Senate impeachment trial dominated the news, there were other important stories and commentary summarized here that the legacy media and Democrats have obfuscated for partisan political reasons.
1. Let’s start off with a Supreme Court decision on an immigration order that is excellent news:
The Supreme Court ruled on Monday to approve the Trump administration’s “public charge” rule for new immigrants. The justices approved the rule by a vote of 5-4 along ideological lines.
“Public charge” has in recent years been defined as a person dependent on cash assistance programs. The Trump administration updated the definition in August 2019 to include people likely to require non-cash government benefits, and sought to implement a policy limiting the number of new immigrants who would require government assistance such as food stamps or Medicaid.
Lower courts have repeatedly blocked the new policy from going into effect. In early January the Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals implemented a nationwide injunction against the policy, which Monday’s Supreme Court decision overrules.
Read the rest here. The next step will be to curtail the use of nationwide injunctions, as Justices Thomas and Gorsuch wrote in a concurrent opinion. That would stop Obama/Clinton judges from impeding Trump executive orders that have a nationwide effect.
2. The California Democrats’ assault on American cultural and norms continues unabated. This is shocking and will never be reported in the legacy media.
A handful of leftist politicians in California recently introduced a new bill that they claim will “end blatant discrimination against LGBT young people regarding California’s sex offender registry.” But the devil is in the details, as the bill would actually protect adult sex offenders who prey upon and assault minors.
State Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) and Assemblywoman Susan Eggman (D-Stockton) reportedly co-introduced the legislation, dubbed Senate Bill 145, which would explicitly exempt sexual predators who are within 10 years of age of their minor victims from automatically having to register as sex offenders in the state’s official database.
“This bill would authorize a person convicted of certain offenses involving minors to seek discretionary relief from the duty to register if the person is not more than 10 years older than the minor,” SB 145 states.
So, a 20-year-old homosexual can now get away with molesting a 10-year-old boy in California because prosecuting this adult offender would constitute “blatant discrimination against LGBT young people?”
Under the guise of trying to stop “blatant discrimination against LGBT young people,” the far-left politicians behind SB 145 are basically trying to legalize child rape by LGBTQ perverts, many of whom are obsessed with children and thus qualify as LGBTQPs – the P representing pedophilia.
Read the rest here. Normalizing pedophilia is the new political frontier for the American Left.
3. Here’s just a tiny bit of the hypocrisy of the Democrat impeachment managers that of course gets short shrift in the legacy media.
Democrat House impeachment managers have focused not just on what they call corruption by President Donald J. Trump. They claim further that his 55-day hold on aid to Ukraine jeopardized U.S. national security.
So, given how pivotal these Democrats say Ukraine is to America’s national security — a virtual lynchpin of this republic’s survival — surely these members of Congress did everything within their power to speed military aid to Ukraine.
In fact, Nadler, Lofgren, and Jeffries are working tirelessly to dislodge President Trump for delaying aid to Ukraine when they themselves voted to stop such relief, dead in its tracks.
On July 26, 2018, all three voted against the Fiscal Year 2019 National Defense Authorization Act, which included $250 million in security assistance to Ukraine. Despite Lofgren’s assertions to the contrary, such funds turned out not to be “unanimous, forceful, and unwavering,” with Lofgren herself among those undermining the very same unanimity that she ballyhoos.

4. Normal people love President Trump, even in blue states like New Jersey!
President Trump headlined a jam-packed rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, on Tuesday night, hours after his attorneys wrapped up their opening arguments in his Senate impeachment trial — and minutes after sources told Fox News that Republicans don’t have the votes yet to block additional witnesses who could extend the proceedings.
An elevated level of enthusiasm was evident in the larger-than-normal crowd sizes inside and outside the Wildwoods Convention Center, and Fox News spoke to several attendees who had been waiting more than 24 hours to ensure they would be seated.
“While we are creating jobs and killing terrorists, the congressional Democrats are obsessed with demented hoaxes, crazy witch hunts, and deranged partisan crusades,” Trump said. “We will make sure they face another crushing defeat in the next election.”
Hotels ordinarily closed for the winter were open for business and largely sold out. Bars and restaurants offered drink specials like the “MAGA-Rita” and the “subpoena-colada” — bringing to life what is normally a Jersey Shore ghost town in the cold days of January.
Read the rest here. Don’t look now, but it’s entirely possible that New Jersey could turn red this November.
5. Daniel Greenfield provides some of the best and most thoughtful analysis going these days. This article would be completely true if the Democrats were rational people – and it still might be true.
While the media remains obsessed with impeachment, it’s well aware that the outbreak of the coronavirus and Kobe’s crash are drawing in far bigger audiences than the antics in the Senate.
The Democrats had spent years building up to this climactic moment, but now no one’s even watching.
The declining ratings tell the tale of a scam gone wrong. The media spent years promising a definitive takedown of Trump. Comey’s testimony was going to take down Trump. And then the Mueller investigation would see him in prison. Impeachment was going to be the grand finale. But it’s over.
It was always over once it was clear that Trump had the votes to survive a Senate trial.
And if he does, then what’s the point? The ratings declines reflect public sentiment that the trial is pointless and fatigue with Trump Derangement Syndrome that had buoyed the media for years.
You can only hit the rage button so many times. And then the rats will no longer stir from their cages. [E]verything has to end sooner or later.
Trump Derangement Syndrome is burning out the core audiences that made the media profitable. The Impeachment Eve rallies failed miserably with turnouts in the hundreds in Boston, Chicago, and Philadelphia. A month later, turnout at the Women’s March had declined from the hundreds of thousands to the thousands. Even as impeachment was underway, the audience wasn’t there.
Democrats finally understand that the battle to remove President Trump won’t be fought by Comey, Mueller, Schiff, and, Nadler, or any of the other grifters, but by a choice of extraordinarily poor 2020 candidates. While the media promised that Trump would be removed by misuse of the 25th Amendment, by Robert Mueller, or, finally by impeachment, the Democrats paid too little mind to 2020.
And, as a result, their best bet for taking down Trump has narrowed down to Biden or Bernie. Meanwhile good economic news is boosting Trump’s popularity and improving his chances.
Most Democrats now understand that removing Trump is a dead end. And defeating him now looks more unlikely than ever before. While they screamed in the streets, the election was already being lost. This is what Trump Derangement Syndrome has wrought.
Read the rest here. One thing for sure: rank-and-file Democrats aren’t over the TDS just yet! If they nominate Bernie, we’ll know they’re still drinking the TDS Kool-Aide.
6. It looks like DoJ lied in Horowitz’s public report – or at least withheld information to twist the facts, and two senators want to find out for sure.
Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee and Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee have formerly requested that Attorney General William Barr declassify four footnotes in Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on the FBI’s FISA abuse investigation. The letter states that the classified footnotes contradict information in Horowitz’s report that appears to have misled the public.
Part of the classified letter, which was obtained by SaraACarter.com states:
“We have reviewed the findings of the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) with regard to the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation, and we are deeply concerned about certain information that remains classified,” the letter states. “Specifically, we are concerned that certain sections of the public version of the report are misleading because they are contradicted by relevant and probative classified information redacted in four footnotes. This classified information is significant not only because it contradicts key statements in a section of the report, but also because it provides insight essential for an accurate evaluation of the entire investigation. The American people have a right to know what is contained within these four footnotes and, without that knowledge, they will not have a full picture as to what happened during the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.”
Read the rest here. Any differences in content between the unclassified and classified notes would be willful obfuscation by a Deep State actor who needs to be outed and fired.
7. Robert Mueller’s underhanded actions after 9/11 may be finally exposed. He’s been a cover-up artist for decades.
After a lengthy investigation, special counsel Robert Mueller charged Russia made “multiple, systematic efforts to interfere in our election” and said the incursion “deserves the attention of every American.”
But former FBI investigators say their old boss didn’t feel the same concern when they uncovered multiple, systemic efforts by the Saudi government to assist the hijackers in the lead-up to the 9/11 attacks — a far more consequential, to say nothing of deadly, foreign influence operation on America.
As the head of the FBI at the time, they say Mueller was not nearly as interested in investigating that espionage conspiracy, which also involved foreign intelligence officers. Far from it, the record shows he covered up evidence pointing back to the Saudi Embassy and Riyadh — and may have even misled Congress about what he knew.
“In October of 2001, Mueller shut down the government’s investigation after only three weeks, and then took part in the Bush [administration’s] campaign to block, obfuscate and generally stop anything about Saudi Arabia from being released,” added Premoli, now a plaintiff in the 9/11 lawsuit against Saudi Arabia.
“[Mueller]’s a villain, and an arrogant one to boot,” former FBI Agent Mark Wauck said, adding that his former boss has a long history of acting as a “servant of the deep state,” or the permanent DC ruling class.
Read the rest here. We may finally get to the bottom of the whole 9/11 story before this lawsuit is over.
8. On Monday night, three CNN talking heads disclosed what the Left thinks about President Trump’s supporters.
The Republican National Committee (RNC) launched a new digital campaign ad and a fundraiser on Tuesday in response to CNN’s Don Lemon mocking Trump supporters during a segment on his show that went viral on Monday night.
The segment featured Lemon, far-left op-ed writer Wajahat Ali, and anti-Trump establishment Republican Rick Wilson who mocked Trump supporters as being uneducated rednecks who could not read, spell, or use maps.
“CNN anchor Don Lemon, The New York Times’ Wajahat Ali and winless carnival barker and scam PAC artist Rick Wilson let everyday Americans know what the establishment thinks about them: President Trump’s supporters are just a bunch of illiterate idiots deserving of the elites’ smug derision,” RNC Spokesman Steve Guest told The Daily Wire in a statement. “In a matter of seconds, CNN summed up the elite left’s disdain for half of America.”
Guest added, “Reminder for voters: As Joe Biden, Michael Bloomberg, Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg and Bernie Sanders campaign across the South for your vote, Lemon, Ali, and Wilson just summarized what these candidates really think of you as they shake your hand and pose for selfies.”

10. The American people have figured out the impeachment charade, and donations continue to roll in to the RNC.
The Republican National Committee reported its best-ever non-presidential year on Thursday — the latest signal that the party is outpacing Democrats as they race towards the 2020 elections and battle over impeachment.
Data provided to Fox News showed that Republicans collected $26.5 million in December, a record for the month and a roughly $6 million increase from November. While the party has repeatedly surpassed fundraising records under Trump, December’s numbers indicated that Republican donor enthusiasm was undeterred by Democrats pushing an impeachment inquiry.
In total, the RNC and Trump’s fundraising committees brought in nearly a half-billion dollars ($463.6 million) in 2019, with $194.8 million cash-on-hand. The RNC itself raised $241.1 million, which officials said is a record for a non-presidential election year.

11. The impeachment news is covered elsewhere in spade, so let’s end this week’s news with another major accomplishment by President Trump
President Trump signed the historic United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, replacing the Clinton-era North American Free Trade Agreement that he called a “disaster.”
The USMCA, which is the biggest trade deal of all-time, covers more than $1.3 trillion of commerce, and is the second major trade deal secured by the Trump administration this year. The agreement has already been ratified by Mexico, but not yet by Canada.
“You’re going to see more jobs all across the economy, in the automobile sector, in the agricultural sector and of course in the energy sector as well,” Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette told FOX Business’ Maria Bartiromo on Wednesday.
The USMCA requires 75 percent of automobile components be manufactured in the United States, Canada or Mexico in order to avoid tariffs. By 2023, some 40 to 45 percent of automobile parts must be made by workers who earn at least $16 an hour.
The agreement is expected to create 80,000 new jobs tied to the auto industry and bring in up to $30 billion of new investment in the sector. The pact will also open new markets for American wheat, poultry and eggs, among other things.
Read the rest here. The Uniparty never thought that this deal could get done! That’s because they’re politicians first and problem-solvers a distant third (behind grifters).
Here are this week’s “honorable mention” articles:
- Pam Bondi Lays Out Case Against Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, Burisma [Do the Democrats really want to open the can of worms on witnesses during the impeachment trial? It won’t end the way they think it will end.]
- FBI reviewing claims Ilhan Omar married her brother [Long overdue! This has been public knowledge for months.]
- Abuse of Procedure [This is an excellent article that fillets the Democrats’ case for impeachment.]
- Liberal Media Scream: CNN ridicules Trump, supporters are ‘boomer rubes’ [CNN is filled with truly evil people.]
- STUDY: Minority Kids Perform Better in Conservative School Districts [This study will NEVER be discussed by the legacy media – or by Bernie, Fauxcahontas and the other “progressives,” for that matter.]
- With Impeachment, Democrats Fall for Russian Gambit [The Democrats and legacy media are stuck and Russian, and the GRU are doing vodka shooters in celebration.]
- Inside the Hillary Bubble [Hillary remains a disgruntled loser who has never come to terms with losing in 2016. She refuses to take any personal responsibility whatsoever for her loss.]
- Adam Schiff is the one helping Vladimir Putin destabilize US democracy [Quite right! Schiff is a useful idiot if not something far worse!]
- Above the Law? Hillary Clinton Refuses to Get Served Tulsi Gabbard’s $50M Lawsuit [Shrillary thinks she’s immune and above the rest of us. I don’t like Gabbard, but I hope she wins her lawsuit.]
While the Senate impeachment trial dominated the news, many good news stories happened that were given short-shrift by the legacy media: USMCA, record-breaking donations to the RNC, investigating Ilhan Omar, and more digging into Mueller and others. Next week should put the impeachment farce to bed, and there is a decent chance that we will see a few indictments after the President is acquitted on Wednesday, too. Stay tuned!
The end.
