Well, while we were all focused on Texas, Hurricane Harvey managed to alter the entire makeup of the Southeastern United States.
Over the weekend, the Seattle Times ran a story on Hurricane Harvey, this is the image they included:
The Seattle Times has since apologized but a couple of questions come to mind.
That map had to have been created at the Seattle Times because, and you can check me out on this if you doubt me, there are no stock maps that place Alabama next to Louisiana. As it seems like the map was created for the purpose of this story–presumably as some kind of ‘meta’ inside joke–does the newspaper even care?
