TOP O' THE MORNIN'
UPDATE VIDEO: Road-Raging Cyclist, Schooled by 22-Year-Old, Caught Whimpering to Cop for Mercy
Sure, it becomes a bit of a dog-pile on Peacock, but he brought this on himself. His 15 minutes of fame turned into 15 days of shame.
I think there's something to be said for the oft-repeated remark about how Democrats and guns simply don't mix, and that clearly goes double when faux Republicans like Kinzinger are involved.
Even Leftist CNN Fact-Checker Daniel Dale Has to Slam Tim Walz for Latest Whopper
When even Daniel Dale has to call foul, you know Kamala, Tim and Co. are sputtering utter BS.
WHAT'S ON TAP?
Today on Capitol Hill...
While we don't yet know who'll control the Senate in the 119th Congress, we do know that Mitch McConnell (R-KY) won't be the Majority Leader. The determination as to who will replace him, should Republicans regain control of the upper chamber has yet to be made, but some GOP conservatives (understandably) want former President Donald Trump to play a role in that decision should he, in fact, win the presidential race.
White House What's Up
Another quiet day for President Joe Biden on Wednesday after his whoopsy-daisy New Hampshire jaunt on Tuesday. Not a thing on his schedule aside from receiving the Daily Brief.
The Homestretch
Vice President Kamala Harris has her CNN town hall tonight. No doubt, she'll have some profound insights to share with the audience. But will the questions be "predetermined"? Second (not a) Gentleman Doug Emhoff is campaigning in...Florida on Wednesday. Harris running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, will visit Louisville, Kentucky, on Wednesday afternoon and speak at a campaign reception later in the evening.
Trump will hold a "Believers and Ballots" town hall in Zebulon, Georgia, Wednesday afternoon, and a rally with Turning Point Action in Duluth, Georgia, Wednesday evening. His running mate, Sen. JD Vance (OH), will deliver remarks in Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Full Court Press...
On Tuesday, the Georgia Supreme Court held that new election rules enacted by the State Election Board would not go into effect while their legality is sorted out and, thus, not be in effect for the November 5 election.
The New York intermediate appellate court did not hand down its decision in Trump's civil fraud appeal on Tuesday, so we continue to wait. Thursday is the next hand-down date.
MORNING MUSING
You think you're prepared for it — you know there will be all manner of bogus rumors and stories trotted out regarding the candidates in the days and weeks leading up to the election. But it still takes a lot of discipline and discernment not to bite — whether it's bad for your candidate or the other. Tune out the noise. Go vote.
LIGHTER FARE
Okay - I don't have to "study" anymore, but I can so relate to this:
