HOT TAKES: Internet Reacts to Weird Staging of Kamala's CNN Interview and Hulking Tim Walz
Many subjects were discussed, and to be fair, Bash actually asked her some pointed questions on her frequent flip-flopping, but the internet had a field day with something simpler: the staging. Namely, Kamala appeared to get the child’s seat, while Walz looked like he was Hagrid sitting next to her.
There are a lot of reasons why Kamala Harris does not deserve to be president, but perhaps the most important one is her unwillingness to level with the American people about Joe Biden's health.
Slippery Slidey Tim Walz Blames Stolen Valor Scandal on… Bad Grammar
"The country is just starting to get to know you," Bash said. Yes, and the more we learn, the more disturbing it gets.
WHAT'S ON TAP?
Today on Capitol Hill...
It's the Friday before Labor Day — the critters are fairly quiet, but it won't be long until they're back in the Swamp and up to their old tricks.

Beach Blanket Bingo continues in Rehoboth Beach for 46.
The Homestretch
Vice President Kamala Harris finally sat (with running mate Tim Walz by her side) for her big interview with CNN's Dana Bash Thursday evening. Doesn't look like anyone thinks she knocked it out of the park — at best, the narrative from her supporters is that "She did what she had to do." Color me skeptical.
Friday, the Veep will be in D.C. for briefings and internal meetings. Meanwhile, Second Gent Dougie will be attending campaign events in San Francisco, California, and then Aspen, Colorado. And Minnesota First Lady Gwen Walz will appear at a campaign event in Virginia.
Former President Donald Trump will be at a campaign rally in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on Friday afternoon.
Full Court Press...
In the 2020 Election case brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith against Trump in D.C., the parties are due to file a status report that will propose a schedule for pre-trial proceedings.
Things are gearing up in the Central District of California for Hunter Biden's tax trial. Judge Mark Scarsi has ruled on most of the pre-trial motions and, as of right now, the case is set to begin next Thursday. RedState Managing Editor Jen Van Laar will be attending and bringing you the updates on the trial.
MORNING MUSING
I like pancakes, and I like bacon. In that sense, I can relate to Kamala Harris, who shared with Dana Bash in Thursday evening's interview that that is what her family — including her baby nieces, who were staying over — had just consumed on the Sunday when she got the call from Joe Biden telling her he was bowing out of the race. Here's what I don't get: Before sharing that little homey family vignette, Harris said to Bash: "It was — it was a Sunday, so, here, I’ll — I’ll give you a little too much information." I'm not quite sure how sharing a family breakfast/brunch is TMI, but Harris sure thought it was funny, as she busted out in giggles after saying that. I must have missed the joke somehow. Weird.
Oops — almost forgot my point of personal privilege for the day: Saturday is my birthday. So far, I'm celebrating it with a head cold. Not a fan.
