White House What's Up

It's a full day for President Joe Biden. After receiving his Daily Briefing, he travels to Racine, Wisconsin, to deliver remarks on his Investing in America agenda, then to a campaign event. Then he travels to Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois, for another campaign "reception" (I'm sure the place will be packed), before flying back to D.C. late night.

Former President Donald Trump will catch a breather on Wednesday as court is not in session in his Manhattan criminal trial, but never fear: Stormy Daniels will be back on the stand Thursday for Trump's attorneys to continue cross-examining her.

MORNING MUSING

I'll confess that I'm torn on this: Part of me really wishes the Trump trial were televised so that we could observe it firsthand rather than relying on reports from the select few journalists allowed to observe the proceedings. But then I realize if I were actually able to watch it in real-time, I'd likely get nothing else done. Trying to follow along sufficiently to give regular updates/recaps is challenge enough. Either way, as others have observed, the prosecution and those hellbent on "getting Trump" have created a circus — and having observed him closely now for nigh on a decade, I won't be at all surprised if the Greatest Showman in Politics manages to make a silk purse out of this sow's ear.
