#1 – IRS Whistleblower Calls Merrick Garland’s Bluff, Starts Naming Names — by Bonchie
Astonishingly, Shapley is now actually naming the six witnesses present at the meeting in question, including members of the FBI and IRS investigative teams that were working the Hunter Biden case. That certainly adds to his credibility. If he weren’t telling the truth, there’s very little reason to believe Shapley would be naming names and essentially challenging others to go under oath about what was said.
Compare that to Garland’s response, which was coy at best, insisting that Weiss had the power to charge in any district while not actually answering whether he was ever stopped from doing so, if even with a “suggestion” from the upper levels of the DOJ.
For my money, the guy who is naming names and who has been willing to go under oath is far more believable than the guy hiding behind weasel phrases while refusing to answer basic questions. It’s fairly clear that the DOJ stepped in and put boundaries around Weiss.
#2 – Whoops: Kinzinger Just Said Something He Shouldn’t Have About Those ‘Patriot Front’ Guys — by Nick Arama
“These people (all blue checks) are celebrating a seemingly MAGA assault on federal officers,” Kinzinger said. “Now I don’t know what this really is, but take a gander at the comments of the ‘patriots’ who ‘love’ America.”
Does Kinzinger know what he just said? He just called these guys federal officers. Does Adam know something the rest of us don’t? Did he just say something he shouldn’t have said? Is the former Jan. 6 Committee member saying federal officers embed themselves in groups? Can we say “whoopsies” in a big way?
If he doesn’t know, then it sounds like he’s feeding conspiracy theories and/or defending alleged white nationalists by claiming they’re feds. Also a very bad look for Kinzinger. Imagine thinking it’s not “patriotic” to call out white nationalists. Is that the position he’s taking?
#3 – READ: Clarence Thomas’ Straight-Fire Response to Ketanji Brown Jackson in Affirmative Action Case Concurrence — by Sister Toldjah
As RedState reported earlier, the United States Supreme Court ruled in a 6-3 vote Thursday that the race-based college admissions processes used by Harvard and the University of North Carolina (UNC) violate the 14th Amendment’s equal protection clause, effectively striking down the use of affirmative action programs in college admissions.
In Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s dissenting opinion in the UNC case, Jackson, who was nominated by President Joe Biden to the Supreme Court in part based on a campaign promise to nominate a black woman, accused the court’s conservative majority of “let-them-eat-cake obliviousness,” proclaiming that the Justices “detached” themselves from “this country’s actual past and present experiences,” while lecturing the “ostrich-like” members about so-called “lived experiences”:
#4 – WATCH: Good Guy With a Gun Decimates Active Shooter in Las Vegas, Local Officials Allegedly Cover It Up — by Bonchie
Another good guy with a gun stepped in to save lives on Friday, this time in Las Vegas. An active shooter entered Turnberry Towers, firing off shots toward the front desk.
That’s when he was confronted with something he likely wasn’t expecting: An armed employee.
The employee, who has not been identified, drew on the would-be mass murderer, causing him to flee by shooting out the inner glass. Before reaching the outer door to escape into the street and possibly shoot other people, though, the active shooter is taken down hard.
#5 – Sweden Shocks Europe: Abandons ‘Unstable’ Green Energy Agenda, Returns to Nuclear Power — by Mike Miller
The decision is a major blow to unreliable and inefficient technology, not to mention the bitter climate gnome, Greta Thunberg, who continually warns mankind about the next climate armageddon that never comes.
The World Economic Forum vs. Net Zero Watch
European countries are under constant pressure from multiple directions to shift to renewable energy to meet the goals of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) green agenda. The WEF’s vision is being heavily pushed by the United Nations, the World Health Organization (WHO), Paris Climate Agreement, World Bank, and climate catastrophizer Joe Biden and his just-as-wacky administration.
Svantesson continues to warn other Western nations that blindly push the WEF’s green agenda.
