On Wednesday, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer stood outside the Capitol and said – with a straight face — that because we have a population that’s not reproducing at the same level it used to, the only way to a great future in America is by welcoming immigrants and offering a path to citizenship for “all 11 million – or however many undocumented there are here.”
Yep, you heard that right. One of the top leaders of the party that supports abortion up to the moment of birth, that pooh-poohs the notion of traditional marriage and the nuclear family, that champions “gender-affirming care” – including puberty blockers in minors, and that espouses policies across the board that discourage having and raising large families is bemoaning the fact that Americans don’t reproduce the way we used to and suggesting the solution to that is importing people from other countries – not in an ordered, rational, constructive way, but willy nilly.
According to Schumer, the only way to a great future in America is not building up our own citizens and helping them to thrive and prosper, but replacing them with citizens of other nations. Americans? Bah – abort them. Who needs them? Apparently, they don’t have a role in America’s future.
