Democrat Heartbreak As CNN Polling Analyst Harry Enten Reveals What Americans Really Think of DOGE

Since the beginning of the Trump 47 administration, Democrats and their media allies have been throwing temper tantrums galore, engaging in pathetic stunts which have included attempts at storming government offices in hopes of thwarting the Trump-authorized mission of Elon Musk and his DOGE teams.

We saw it, for instance, just two weeks after Donald Trump took office, with unhinged Democrats including entrenched Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) yelling at a lone man who was standing outside the Dept. of Education because he wouldn't step aside and let her and her comrades barge in like raging bulls in a china shop.

Video from the scene showed Waters demanding to know the ID of the man standing at the doorway with his arms folded. At another point, a predictably dramatic Waters asked the man if he planned to take out the members of Congress who were standing in front of him if they didn't back off.

The Usual Suspects are doing things like this ostensibly on grounds that they are standing up for the American people, and they want voters to believe that most Americans are against what DOGE stands for, which is to cut waste, fraud, and abuse in federal agencies.

The problem with the Dem/media narrative, however, is that it's not true, as CNN data guru Harry Enten noted in a Thursday segment with News Central co-anchor Kate Bolduan where DOGE was the hot topic under discussion:

Enten: Americans on Trump and DOGE's efforts. Musk and DOGE should influence government spending and operations. Look at this, 54 percent. The majority say that he and they should.

How about approve of Trump trying to cut staff at government agencies? Again, you get a majority here, 51 percent.

So yes, Elon Musk might not be that popular, but these cuts and the idea of spending cuts, at least within the federal government and cutting at government agencies, that actually has majority support.

[...]

Bolduan: Well, there is there is a view that cuts across Democrat and Republican of people thinking that Washington is too big, bloated federal government waste, fraud and abuse. I mean those are -- drain the swamp is what people run on over and over again. How do they feel? What do they think they're actually cutting?

Enten: Yes, what do they think they're actually cutting? Democrats want to argue that the type of spending that Musk is cutting is mainly necessary programs, but that comes in at just 36 percent. The wasteful spending actually wins the plurality here at 42 percent, according to a recent Washington Post-IPSOS poll.

And I think that is the reason why you see that when it comes to Dusk and MOGE -- Musk and DOGE, you see, in fact, the majority believe he should have some influence because they believe, the plurality believe that he is cutting wasteful spending, not necessarily programs that Democrats are arguing.

[...]

Back in 2020, when Trump lost re-election, 54 percent said, [the government was doing] too little. By the time he won re-election in 2024. Look at that, "too much" won the majority at 55 percent. It was the inverse. So, I think there's this real push from the American public to want spending at the U.S. government to drop. And I think that's part of the reason why they're giving Musk and DOGE that majority, at least at this point, when it comes to his influence over federal government.

Watch:

As Trump and his defenders have often said, one reason voters chose him is to do exactly what he has tasked DOGE to do. So while the poll numbers are not surprising to the president's supporters, they will no doubt cause heartbreak among Democrats - who will continue to gaslight the public in hopes of denting Trump's momentum.

President Trump, Elon Musk, and DOGE are bringing much-needed accountability to our out-of-control government as they take a chainsaw to rampant waste, fraud, and abuse.
