Well after all of us have departed this earth, and regardless of how the 2024 November election turns out, people will be talking about the visit GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump made to a Pennsylvania McDonald's on Sunday, working the fry station and just generally having a good time with the employees and drive-thru customers while making fun of the "fake news" media standing outside the window on the other side of the drive-thru lane.
I had to be offline most of the weekend and missed it as it was happening, but I've caught up on the story today from videos, photos, and recaps. One of the first things I thought after laughing out loud was that even if a person didn't respect the player, they had to respect the player's game and Trump definitely had game during his now-viral fry shift.
Not surprisingly, the Usual Suspects on the left and in the media were triggered and didn't agree, as evidenced, for instance, by the meltdowns at MSDNC in response to the moment.

This Is Why Donald Trump's McDonald's Visit Was a Genius Political Move
Of course, they weren't the only ones grumbling about the former president turning Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris' unverifiable claim of once working at a McDonald's against her. NeverTrumpers were busy coping and seething as well including The Atlantic senior editor David Frum, who unintentionally sparked a hilarious debate over the difference between grilling and frying with this gem:

Er... um. Was Reagan "frying" on that grill? Other folks had thoughts:
Senior editor of @TheAtlantic doesn't know the difference between deep frying in hot oil and grilling on a barbecue.

Others pointed to how Frum's hot take reminded them of other cringe moments involving Democrats pretending to grill out and looking foolish in the process:
Strong Dem politician vibes from Frum trying to pretend as though he's ever been near a fire.

Grilling isn't that hard. Anyone not an idiot can do it. Drunk Southerners do this literally every weekend tailgating.
For a few million I can, in an hour teach anyone how to grill. https://t.co/bFOaCY99G7 pic.twitter.com/KyBOKTY2CX
Last but not least, here are the choices we face come November:
