As President Joe Biden was slowly walking to the podium Thursday night to give the State of the Union address after running late and stopping for selfies, a fired-up Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) made sure to position herself near the aisle so he could see her wearing her Make America Great Again hat and her Laken Riley t-shirt.
She looked him straight in the eye and told him to say Laken Riley's name.
Here's how that exchange went down:

Riley, as RedState readers will recall, was the 22-year-old Augusta University nursing student who was killed two weeks ago, allegedly at the hands of 26-year-old Venezuelan illegal immigrant Jose Antonio Ibarra, after she went out for her morning run on the University of Georgia campus.

It was much later on during Biden's speech, when he began talking about the border crisis that he and his administration created, that Greene called out to him yet again, demanding that he say Laken Riley's name.
He picked up the pin Greene had given him earlier that had Riley's name on it, and attempted to say Riley's name... and just bungled it, instead calling the young woman whose life had been brutally cut short and whose case has sparked national outrage "Lincoln Riley" - not once, but twice:

Thankfully, Riley's family was not in the audience tonight, having declined Republican Congressman Mike Collins' (R-Ga.) invitation to be there.
Even worse, Biden feigned sympathy for the family of the daughter whose name he had just mispronounced after refusing to say it for two weeks, referencing his son Beau's death as he often does when addressing parents who've lost their children:
"Lincoln Riley, Lincoln Riley an innocent young woman who was killed by an illegal. That's right. But how many thousands of people being killed by illegals? To her parents I say, my heart goes out to you, having lost children myself. I understand."
Unbelievable. Wouldn't say Laken Riley's name for two weeks, and yet when he finally does he screws it up. And to add insult to injury, his question about "how many" have been "killed by illegals" confirms that he will do absolutely nothing going forward to try and prevent tragedies like what happened to Riley from happening to other innocents in this country.
And neither will Congressional Democrats, 170 of whom on the House side voted against an illegal immigration bill written in her honor - the Laken Riley Act - earlier in the day.
These people don't get it. They just don't. It will be up to voters to let them know it in November. Enough is enough.
