We haven't heard much from one of the mainstream media's most obscene online bullies, Taylor Lorenz, in a while. Not so much because she's not continuing to do what she does best, but because she's hiding behind "protected" tweets and as such we don't get treated as often as we previously were as to the attention-seeking antics of Ms. Lorenz.
But social media platforms being what they are, eventually Lorenz was going to say something stupid enough that would be found out and distributed for mockery, which is exactly what happened Monday when Lorenz declared on the Threads app that the only opinions the New York Times found acceptable for their reporters to express were "right-wing opinions," something she suggested was confirmed courtesy of a piece written by The Nation senior editor Jack Mirkinson on how the newsroom is supposedly very right-wingy on the issue of the Israel-Hamas war:

The Washington Post tech/culture "journalist" wrote in another post that the New York Times also allegedly discriminated against her during her days as a writer at the newspaper:
For instance, at the NYT I wasn't allowed to express the "opinion" that online harassment was a bad thing, in the midst of having my entire family harassed and doxxed. I also once had to delete a tweet where I said I don't like living in America lol. But saying "wokes" are taking over campus is totally fine in their book
Context is of course everything and the fact that Lorenz could provide none to support the case she made about her alleged treatment at the Times tells us everything we need to know about those particular claims.
But the statement that the New York Times, which is inarguably one of the most liberally biased news outlets in the country as evidenced, for instance, in the way they covered sexual assault allegations against then-Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden in 2020 versus how they smeared then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh in 2019, only tolerates right-wing opinions is classic media gaslighting at its most insufferable and insulting.
Keep in mind, too, that "journalists" like Ms. Lorenz have absolutely no issue with newsrooms and Big Tech censoring certain opinions while favoring others as long as it's the "correct" - left-wing - opinion being expressed, as was reaffirmed via the Twitter Files:
Hypocrite Taylor Lorenz is at it again! #TwitterFiles showed Tay Tay had privileged access at Twitter. She requested specific accounts be banned & content removed. Twitter complied with her requests.

She’s now trying to rewrite history, claiming she’s been against big tech… pic.twitter.com/b8XGGM5G1Y
This is yet another reminder that the grift with these discredited media hacks is incredibly strong - strong enough to make them willingly want to sink further down into that rabbit hole to the point there will be absolutely no turning back once the crap hits the proverbial fan, bless their hearts.
What in the hell? Not even Taylor Lorenz can be this oblivious, can she? https://t.co/P80Ee90n02

Whether it's intentional or unintentional obliviousness, it's a massive problem in Media World - and unfortunately, it's not just confined to Very Online types like Taylor Lorenz.
