Kelley Paul Rips Jack Dorsey: Where Were You When Tweeters Encouraged Violence Against My Husband?

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) is no stranger to political harassment that sometimes escalates to violence.

He, along with House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (LA) and other House and Senate Republicans and aides, was targeted for assassination by a deranged supporter of failed Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders during a baseball practice game in the summer of 2017. There were multiple injuries during the attack. Scalise was hit in the attack and was seriously injured, but thankfully he survived.

In August 2020, Paul and his wife and author Kelley Paul were attacked by a mob of radical, out of control Black Lives Matter leftists as the couple were leaving the White House.

It was perhaps all of that and more Kelley Paul had in mind when she proceeded to rip Twitter’s Jack Dorsey a new one over the weekend in a tweet responding to Twitter’s crackdown on Republicans including President Trump who they claim are complicit in trying to incite political violence:

Hey @jack , remember how for the last three years you have allowed thousands of hateful tweets celebrating my husband’s assault and encouraging more violence against him? I do.

The encouragement from leftists on Twitter against Sen. Paul happened not just after the 2020 attack on the Pauls outside of the White House, but also after another attack on the Senator that happened just a few months after the 2017 baseball field shooting.

Paul was mowing his yard at his Kentucky home in early November 2017 when he was viciously assaulted by a neighbor, reportedly after yard debris was supposedly left close to the property line. Part of one of Paul’s lungs had to be removed as a result of the serious injuries he suffered.

There was unconfirmed speculation that the neighbor had political disagreements with Paul, but the media had a field day with, as Kelley Paul described in an op/ed piece not long after the attack, participating in “gleeful attempts to blame Rand for it, ridiculing him for everything from mowing his own lawn to composting.”

Paul’s attacker received a light sentence.

Kelley Paul has made clear in recent days that she is appalled by Big Tech’s raging duplicity on alleged incitement, and retweeted this from Blaze reporter Elijah Schaffer:

The day after the storming of the Capitol, Kelley Paul also expressed support for the Capitol Hill police and condemned mob violence:

Thank you to @CapitolPolice for your bravery yesterday. I have spoken out against mob violence for the last year, and like all peaceful Americans I condemn the violent mob that attacked our Capitol yesterday. Mobs are made up of thugs, not patriots.

Kelley Paul has every right to be enraged by Dorsey’s double standards. She has spoken out often about how she and her husband frequently are on the receiving end of dangerous threats from the left and has also pointed out how members of the media have actually laughed at the attack on her husband by their neighbor.

She has also noted that Democrats like Sen. Cory Booker were using language that could be construed as incitement against Republicans prior to some of the threats she and her husband received. Strangely, most Democrats who use words that could actually be interpreted as incitement are rarely condemned, and are almost never suspended or banned.

As I’ve said numerous times before, there are one set of standards for Republicans and none for Democrats. Sadly, that doesn’t look to be changing any time soon.
