It’s been a really bad last few weeks for the Never Trumpers at the “Lincoln Project” PAC.
Not only did the Atlantic do a brutal takedown of their financial activities, but Lincoln Project adviser Rick Wilson’s attempt last month at canceling Domino’s Pizza over a years-old tweet to Kayleigh McEnany backfired big time when others dug up Instagram posts of his that contained pictures of a Confederate cooler with the slogan “the South will rise again” on it.
What made it especially humiliating for the Lincoln Project was that not long before that they had released an error-filled ad decrying President Trump for the people who allegedly bring Confederate flags to his rallies.
The Lincoln Project’s latest self-own came this past Friday, when they took issue with a photo of President Trump saluting during the pre-Independence Day festivities at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. Because apparently they find displays of patriotism from Trump upsetting, here’s what they tweeted:
Civilians donβt salute. pic.twitter.com/W0LL3C46yn

Except, ya know, there’s that whole “Commander in Chief” thing they conveniently forgot:
This is the problem with schools today! πͺ#CommanderInChief pic.twitter.com/xTaSAgxPqH

Not only that, but are they going to come out and condemn the guy they endorsed for president who, unlike Trump, is not the Commander in Chief of the U.S. military?

Lincoln Project plays stupid games, wins embarrassing prizes. It’s like they just can’t help themselves.
Normally I’d recommend groups like the Lincoln Project delete their Twitter accounts to spare themselves from further humiliation, but it’s just too much fun dunking on these clowns.
