As I’ve said before, if the Democrats didn’t have double standards then they’d have no standards at all.

After the scandal involving multiple allegations of inappropriate touching against 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden quickly blew over last spring, it became more apparent than ever before how liberals and the mainstream media operated on double standards when it came to “Believing All Women.”

Fast forward to exactly a year later, and their duplicity on the matter has again been laid bare for all to see, this time in living color and with stunningly candid admissions by the players involved. The first one came by way of the New York Times in their blatantly biased coverage of former Biden staffer Tara Reade’s sexual assault allegations against Biden.

The paper actually admitted on record that they softened their coverage of the allegations because the Biden campaign complained about their original report.

The latest example of someone on the left saying the quiet part out loud about Democrats and “Believe All Women” comes from Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus, who was so convinced that Dr. Christine Blasey Ford was telling the truth against Kavanaugh that she wrote a book about it.

What’s she saying now about believing women now that Joe Biden stands accused? Surprise surprise:

Here’s more from her column where she confirmed her skepticism of women’s claims of sexual harassment and/or assault depends on the party affiliation of the person accused:

I have always tried to argue in favor of fact-finding first, conviction later, whether in the court of public opinion, in the Senate confirmation process or elsewhere.

That was why I questioned “whether justice was done” in the case of former Minnesota Democratic senator Al Franken, whose precipitous resignation short-circuited a Senate Ethics Committee process that could have helped determine whether Franken’s behavior merited the equivalent of a political death sentence. That was why I argued during the Kavanaugh confirmation for a serious Senate and FBI investigation, not the limited sham that was designed less to unearth the truth than to secure the necessary 50 votes to get him confirmed.

What an absolute clown show – but then again we’ve come to expect that from Washington Post columnists, haven’t we?

Democrats like Marcus and others who have rushed to defend Biden and other Democrats like Al Franken don’t actually give a royal rip about due process. It’s all about judging the accused based on political considerations, not the facts.

Marcus’s admission reminds me of what Hillary Clinton said when she was asked about Joe Biden’s handsy/too-close-for-comfort nature in an interview with People magazine last fall:

“You could take any person who sticks their little head above the parapet and says, ‘I’m going to run for president,’ and find something that … a little annoying habit or other kind of behavior that people are going to pick apart and disagree with,” she continued.

Why was Hillary so eager to sing Biden’s praises in spite of the numerous allegations of inappropriate touching and invasions of women’s private spaces? Because Orange Man Bad, of course:

“This man must be defeated,” Clinton told PEOPLE. “People who are putting themselves forward, which believe me, is a really difficult process to undergo, should be judged on the totality of their lives and their service.”

“We can pick apart anybody. I mean, that’s a great spectator sport. But this man who’s there in the Oval Office right now poses a clear and present danger to the future of the United States. So get over it,” Clinton said. “Look at the candidates, look at what they’ve accomplished, look at what they have fought for — and vote for anybody to get rid of Donald Trump.”

Got that? Voters must “get over it” and “vote for anybody” to get Trump out of office, even if that “anybody” likes to brush up behind women when they’re not looking and smell their hair, hug women a little too tightly for a little too long, and kiss women supporters full on the mouth. And in Marcus’s case, trashing those who accuse that “anybody” of sexual assault is fair game, too, because the bad Orange Man must be defeated.

Disgusting.
