White House Deputy Press Secretary Kush Desai took a snarky jab at Michael Moore on Wednesday, after the leftist filmmaker suggested the Trump administration might be deporting illegals who are potentially on the brink of the next great scientific discovery.
In one of the all-time boneheaded statements in an era of non-stop boneheaded statements, the "Bowling for Columbine" director suggested mass deportations should be halted because the criminals being swept up could one day make outstanding contributions to the nation they are illegally invading.
Moore said he believes those being repatriated to their home countries might’ve one day “discovered the cure for cancer” or “stopped that asteroid.”
The asteroid he referenced is a so-called 'city-killer' that NASA had been warning could strike Earth in 2032. (They've since dialed back their doomsday predictions).
Moore wrote a lengthy blog post on Tuesday that argued some criminal aliens could have parallels to a career in innovation, like late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, who was the biological son of a Syrian migrant.
"We have to stop this current madness of rounding up people of color for committing the crime of not being born here," Moore wrote, before lamenting the potential examples.
"Who's really being removed by ICE tonight?" he asked. "The child who would've discovered the cure for cancer in 2046? The 9th-grade nerd who would’ve stopped that Asteroid that’s gonna hit us in 2032?"

Desai, in an emailed statement by the White House Office of Communications, poked fun at Moore over the ridiculous comments, suggesting he's free to visit the drug cartels and their mythical scientific labs in other countries if he'd like. But they're not going to be allowed to set up shop in the United States any longer.
He added that the Trump administration will continue to focus on removing criminals who pose a threat to the American people.
Desai quipped:
"Michael Moore is free to visit the quantum computing and particle physics labs that MS-13, TDA (Tren de Aragua), and the cartels are now going to have to set up back home in El Salvador, Venezuela, and Mexico."
He continued: "The Trump Administration will remain focused on putting our own citizens first by mass deporting illegal migrant rapists, murders, and other criminals out of American communities.”

Border Czar Tom Homan also took aim at Moore over the comments, pointing out that a lot of the 'children' that poured over the border under the Biden regime were actually violent gang members who lied about their age.

What he should be concerned about is all the victims and the families of those who were brutally killed by illegal criminals.

"I wish Michael Moore would go talk to ... a few of the angel moms and dads that I've talked to over my career," Homan told Fox News host Sean Hannity. "I talked to hundreds of them. American citizen parents who buried their children because their children was murdered or raped by an illegal alien."
Yeah, MS-13 isn't researching neoadjuvant immunotherapy when they return to Mexico. They weren't researching it here, Michael. And I've yet to see one of their tattoos signify a Schrödinger's cat thought experiment.
They're not scholars. They're violent criminals. Some are rapists. Some are murderers. None of them were heading down a path to cure cancer.
