Leave it to an actress to go completely melodramatic when it comes to President Trump's deportation efforts. Selena Gomez posted a video to her Instagram stories on Monday, getting overly emotional over ongoing illegal immigration crackdowns.
The clip shows the "Emilia Pérez" actress sobbing uncontrollably while adding a caption stating, "I'm sorry," along with a Mexican flag emoji.
“All my people are getting attacked, the children!" she says, tears streaming down her face. "I don’t understand. I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something, but I can’t."
"I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise."

It's hard to believe that this video is real. But alas, People Magazine has confirmed its existence.
Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), probably sitting around in his little 'Insurrection Warrior' underpants, thinks the waterworks are too much. Sen. Cory 'I am Sparta' Booker (D-NJ) likely thinks she's being a bit dramatic.
I suspect the 'Leave Brittany Alone' girl would even like to give her a good smack back to reality.
Gomez must have received a fair amount of criticism over the video since she addressed it in a follow-up Instagram Story.
"Apparently, it's not ok to show empathy for people," she wrote.
First off, it's unclear who Selena Gomez is referring to when she says "my people" are being attacked. Gomez has called herself "a proud third-generation American-Mexican," but she was born in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Gomez's paternal grandparents legally emigrated to Texas from Monterrey, Mexico in the 1970s.
Second, she literally went with the "But, the children!" screed to complain that illegals are being held accountable for invading the country with no regard to America's laws.

Prior to this, there is no record of Gomez posting videos blubbering over those lost kids. Or the children raped or murdered by illegals. Currently, those being targeted have long rap sheets. Are you crying for them?
Trump border czar Tom Homan, on Sunday, personally rounded up an "illegal alien convicted of sex crimes involving children" who was "walking the streets of Chicago."

Homan was asked to comment on the Gomez video on Fox News just moments ago.
"No apologies, we're moving forward," he replied.

In an interview with ABC News correspondent Martha Raddatz, Homan was asked if the illegal immigrant community can expect to see deportations carried out every day. The border chief said to expect things to get even better.
"Yes," he replied. "But you can see the number steadily increased - the number of arrests nationwide - as we open up the aperture."
Open up the aperture while Selena and the rest of Hollywood keep opening up the tear ducts.
