Fox Nation awarded President-elect Donald Trump the "Patriot of the Year" award at an event in Long Island, New York, Thursday night.

Who else could that title have gone to this past year? The man survived relentless politically motivated prosecutions and multiple assassination attempts in an effort by dark forces to remove him from the race for the White House.

Through it all, he kept fighting.

In accepting the award, he had a straightforward message for those trying to stop him from making America great again.

"We're gonna get things straightened out in this country," Trump said during his speech.

"We're gonna do something that I've been talking about for eight years. We're gonna do it again. And we have to do it again," he declared. "And that's: We're going to make America great again. Thank you all very much."

The Patriot Awards were remarkable. Fox News host Sean Hannity introduced the 45th and soon-to-be 47th President of the United States. Lee Greenwood gave a live performance of his patriotic anthem, "God Bless the USA."

Oh, and it also featured the Patriot of the Year breaking out a slightly altered version of the famous 'Trump dance."

Sure, the president-elect busted out his usual moves along to the Village People’s hit song, “YMCA.” But this time, he added a little flair, giving the crowd a little salsa while also showing off his golf form.

Not only is Donald Trump about to Make America Great Again, but if the crowd's reaction to his hit dance is any indication, he's also going to Make America Fun Again.

Ya gotta love it!

During the ceremony, President-elect Trump touted his first administration's economic achievements and offered his vision for tackling the scourge of illegal immigration.

"We had it done. We created the most successful economy in the history of our country. We were doing so good," he told an appreciative crowd. "Our border was the lowest numbers ever. The lowest number of illegal immigrants coming into our border that we ever had."

"We're going to be very proud of our country again," he predicted.

Nobody else could have won the Patriot of the Year Award, especially following one of the most iconic moments in the history of this nation.

During a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July, Trump was the target of an assassination attempt, a bullet striking his ear, coming just centimeters from taking him out and very likely plunging a profoundly divided nation into civil conflict.

Did this patriot cower in fear? Run away? Nay, he dusted himself off, blood dripping down the side of his face, and demanded the American people keep fighting for the nation they love so dearly.

That is a patriot. That moment will go down in history as the exact point in which this country came back from the destruction that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris wrought during their administration.

Also honored at the Patriot Awards were actor and evangelist Kirk Cameron, General Dick Cody, who aided those affected by Hurricane Helene through the use of his own helicopter, and Jonathan Diller, a New York police officer killed during a traffic stop in Queens.
