Democrats seem unable to offer up positive, concrete policies that might make people want to vote for them. Instead, all they know how to do is attack President Donald Trump. That's all they've done for the last ten years.
On Thursday, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) attacked Trump's first 100 days, even though the Democrats can't even come close to achieving what Trump has done. Trump showed, for example, that you didn't need new bills to secure the border; all you needed was a real president occupying the Oval Office.
Schumer then tried to attack Trump's favorability in the polls, saying he was the least popular president at 100 days. But that's when CNN's Manu Raju asked him a question and dropped a stat on him that completely embarrassed him
🚨 LMAO! A reporter just EMBARRASSED Chuck Schumer after Chuck claimed Trump’s poll numbers were bad

SCHUMER: “POLLS COME AND GO!”

"There was a poll out today that has your approval rating lower than any other congressional leader, at 17 percent," Raju stated. "Are you concerned that you may be a liability for your party?" he inquired. That's a stunning question coming from CNN. That's the kind of question they should be asking.
Then suddenly, polls meant nothing to Schumer. "Polls come and go," Schumer replied. When they apply to him, they're meaningless, but please believe them if they ding Trump. That's the Democrats, folks, they can't even be consistent for a minute. Schumer shows what a huge hypocrite he is.
"Our party is united! We're on our front foot! We're stepping forward, going after Trump, having real success," Schumer ranted. But we still can't offer you anything positive, so yay us!
I don't always believe polling on Trump. But he faces constant negative media. Even if you accept the current polling, the Real Clear Politics average had Trump at 45.2 percent approval. Rasmussen, one of the most accurate polls, had Trump at 50 percent on Thursday.
Either way, Trump's number far exceeds Schumer's shocking 17 percent approval and the Democrats' approval number, which has hovered in the 20s. CNN has them at 38 percent.

17 percent means Schumer doesn't have a lot left. But it's Schumer, so I believe he can always go lower. The bottom line? He's not even popular right now with his party, and he has Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) potentially waiting in the wings to run against him. So maybe he should be more concerned with himself and less about Trump, who is more popular. Trump is working to make things better for the American people. Schumer is just trying to attack Trump, which makes nothing better for anyone.
The problem for Schumer? While he's looking at Trump's polls, he's not looking at the polls, seeing how unpopular the Democrats' actions are, and changing his behavior. So yes, polls come and go, and Democrats are likely to lose again if they don't understand what the people want in 2026.
