Democrats are scrambling, trying to figure out how to deal with President Donald Trump. 

One of the big problems is that they appear leaderless and flailing, not knowing which way to turn. 

Democratic strategist Doug Schoen said Monday there’s “no good answer” on who will be the next leader of the Democratic Party after former Vice President Kamala Harris lost in November to President Trump.

“You know, at this point, I really don’t know,” Schoen said in an interview on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” when asked who he thinks will emerge to lead the party “in a smarter direction.”

So instead of a real leader, what you have are the squeaky wheels like Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). All three are a continuing gift to the Republican Party. As I reported earlier, Crockett was on a roll this week with some truly unhinged remarks.

Fox's Sean Hannity had a town hall with Republican senators and he asked them about Democratic leadership, as our sister site Townhall reported. Sen. John Kennedy's (R-LA) response was pure gold. 

Senator John Kennedy on AOC is pure gold:

“I consider AOC to be the leader of the Democratic Party.”

“I think she’s the reason there are directions on a shampoo bottle.”

“Our plan for dealing with her is Operation Let Her Speak.”

“I consider Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez to be the leader of the Democratic Party," Kennedy declared. 

He then just killed the room and sent them all off into gales of laughter, “She's entitled to her opinion. I'm entitled to mine. As I've said before, I think she’s the reason there are directions on a shampoo bottle. Our plan for dealing with her is Operation Let Her Speak.”

Can it get any more on target than that? That's so savage and so true.

Really, it's true for Walz and Crockett as well. They just can't help tripping over themselves with the silly things they say, so go ahead and let them. Never interrupt your adversary as they are doing themselves in. I think their craziness is one of the reasons that Democrats have hit historic lows in their polling numbers with the American public, along with the bad policies that the Democrats have embraced.  All they really know how to do — all they've really done for the past ten years is be anti-Trump; they aren't "for" much that's connecting with the American people. 

I have no doubt that at some point, AOC will run for president, whether it's in 2028 or after. She won't be able to help doing it, given her overinflated opinion of herself. But her radical comments and stepping on rakes will provide us with endless material as the Democrats sink deeper into the abyss.
