I wrote a story earlier about White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shutting down a fake story about Elon Musk and Social Security. The Democrats keep trying to push this story, but that doesn't make it true.
But there was another question that came up during the briefing — that was Trump's comment on Truth Social that he would be buying a Tesla to show his support for the company and all that Musk had put on the line for the country. Leavitt confirmed to Fox's Peter Doocy that Trump would be looking at a Tesla at the White House later on Tuesday. She said he misses driving his own vehicle, though "The Beast" is nice.

Indeed he was, as Trump met with Elon Musk and his son, X, and checked out a fleet of Teslas.
Trump said that Musk is doing everything he can for the country and that he thought it was very unfair that people were attacking him and Teslas so that's why he was buying one.
President Trump buys a Tesla: "Number one, it's a great product — as good as it gets — and number two, because [@elonmusk] has devoted his energy and his life to doing this and I think he has been treated very unfairly." pic.twitter.com/lypTYM1PXv

Trump explained that they (presumably the Secret Service) weren't going to let him drive, so he was going to keep it there and let people like the staff drive it. He said they were very excited about that.
Musk made a big announcement in return.
🚨 @elonmusk: "As a function of the great policies of President Trump and his administration, and as an act of faith in America, @Tesla is going to DOUBLE vehicle output in the United States within the next two years." pic.twitter.com/FcXK9Jwo7r

Now, that's a big investment in the country, which is what Trump has been encouraging companies to do — that helps jobs and the economy in this country.
It looked like Trump settled on a red Tesla. He said he wasn't Biden, so he didn't need any notes to say what he needed to say.
.@POTUS: "They gave me notes. I said, 'I'm not Biden. I don't need notes.'" 🤣

SO TRUE, MR. PRESIDENT! pic.twitter.com/vJSNxYjnHF
How true that is — and how comforting that we are no longer in that situation.
Trump then got into the car, and he clearly enjoyed it. "That's beautiful!" Trump said. He was impressed by the instrument panel, saying it was different from what he was used to. Elon had to explain the panel to him.

"Do you think Biden could get into that car? I don't think so," Trump teased. Even if he could, I don't think he could figure it out.
Now that's pretty cool — Trump supporting his advisor who is being attacked, but also supporting a great American car and company. On top of that, it looks like, once again, the effort to sow dissension by the left only seems to have made them more supportive of each other and focused on what they are doing for the country.
