President Donald Trump delivered an inspiring Joint Address to Congress this week.
Even CBS and CNN had to acknowledge that most people approved of it. CBS had a 76 percent approval. Not only did they approve, but many found it inspiring, hopeful, and even unifying.
But Democrats showed how out of touch they were. Most of them wouldn't stand for anything, including Laken Riley's mother or DJ Daniel, the young boy who fought brain cancer and was made an honorary Secret Service agent.
Trump even noted it didn't matter to them what he said or what he did, they would never clap or stand.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: "Once again, I look at the Democrats in front of me and I realize there is absolutely nothing I can say to make them happy or to make them stand or smile or applaud. Nothing I can do. I could find a cure to the most devastating disease, a disease that would wipe… pic.twitter.com/O5YqwxShR3

A sad comment, but so true. Trump even invited them to join the effort to help improve things.
It’s very sad, and it just shouldn’t be this way.
So, Democrats sitting before me, for just this one night, why not join us in celebrating so many incredible wins for America, for the good of our nation? Let’s work together and let’s truly make America great again. Every day my administration is fighting to deliver the change America needs to bring a future America deserves and we’re doing it. This is a time for big dreams and bold action.
But even with that reach out, they still sat on their hands.
Jesse Watters sent producer Johnny Belisario to ask Democrats why they wouldn't stand for people like Laken Riley's mother. Their answers reveal why they are so lost.

Sen, Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) argued she did clap when Trump "said the United States had supported Ukraine," but she didn't answer when asked about clapping for Laken Riley's mom. Imagine that she thinks that's a good answer. She didn't clap for the Americans Trump was highlighting, but she clapped for giving money to Ukraine? Doesn't that just say it all in a nutshell.
The excuse Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) offered was, "The president got before the American people and didn’t talk about how he could drive down grocery prices."
In fact, Trump did, saying he was working on that every day and that he was going to do that was to reduce the cost of energy by "drill, baby, drill." The CBS poll indicated that most people thought Trump was addressing their concerns. And it's funny that Booker didn't seem to give a darn about the economy when Joe Biden was the one driving the prices up and causing the mess that Trump now had to clean up.
The execrable Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said there was nothing "factual or truthful" in what Trump had to say. So what Laken Riley or DJ Daniel went through wasn't truthful? And imagine Schiff of all people hitting anyone else on the question of truth. When Schiff was told how popular the speech was with the American people, he even put down the American people, "I don't know what speech they were watching" and said the speech "wasn't worth watching."
The funniest moment had to be Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN). Belisario asked him about men in women's sports. "Shorts...They should not be in shorts." Uh, okay...what?
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) told Belisario, "You need to get away from me."
