There isn't a lot that CNN produces that's worth watching. That might explain why their ratings are so bad.
We see how over and over again that yes, they are taking a side in politics whether they protest that they aren't or not, as we saw in an exchange between Trump official Stephen Miller and CNN host Brianna Keilar. Among other things, he broke out the crayons to school her that yes, the executive -- the president -- has the right to run the executive branch, despite what she might think.

I think it maybe the only worthwhile things I see on the network are the common sense of Scott Jennings and the data that Harry Enten will sometimes bring.
It's sort of interesting that they allow Enten to expound on numbers that don't help their narrative and says things like, "Trump is more popular and in control than ever...Holy cow!" Because "Trump is doing what he promised to do." As he noted, Trump's popularity is supported by multiple polls. I wrote about the Napolitan News/RMG Research survey on Tuesday where his poll numbers took a net approval jump of six percent in about a week after all the actions Trump had been taking.

On Wednesday, Enten explained how Trump had overall positive net approval. Enten explained this was because the GOP was more behind Trump at +84 percent net approval than the Democratic base was against him at -78 percent. Plus the fact that "Donald Trump and the Republican Party has changed the electorate." Enten walked through how party ID had changed since 2017, when it was Democrats +5, to February 2025, when it is now Republicans +2, and what a monumental shift that was.

Democrats and others including the new electorate are shifting more to the Republican side.
So if you combine that with the strong support of Republicans/MAGA that he was talking about earlier, that's why he's got such a positive net approval rating. He's breaking the rules like Frank Sinatra, Enten asserted, doing it "his way."
We've seen that shift in many important figures from Tulsi Gabbard to Elon Musk, and Musk summarized why that shift was happening: "The American people realized the truth."

That's about as succinct as you can get, and that's why Trump won, including all the swing states and the popular vote.
What are the Democrats doing in response? All the same things that doomed them in the election in November, as they continue to dig the hole deeper. When they're on record fighting against the American people's desire to cut fraud, waste, and abuse, they're going to continue to go down to defeat.
