Eric Trump Mocks NJ Effort to Target His Father Over Liquor Licenses After NY Verdict

No, lawfare and the efforts targeting former President Donald Trump aren't political.

In a pig's eye, they aren't.

As we reported, the New Jersey Attorney General Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control was looking into whether the guilty verdict in Trump's Manhattan trial would "make him ineligible to hold liquor licenses at his three New Jersey golf courses."

"ABC is reviewing the impact of President Trump's conviction on the above referenced licenses, and declines further comment at this time," Attorney General Matthew Platkin's office said to Fox News.

"No license of any class shall be issued to any person under the age of 18 years or to any person who has been convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude."

Except there's a small problem with this, as Eric Trump explained when he mocked this effort.

The Trump Organization confirmed that.

The Trump Organization issued a statement Tuesday saying the former president is not an officer or director of any entity that holds a liquor license in New Jersey, or anywhere in the United States. [....]
“These are some of the most iconic properties in the world, and reports like this do nothing but harm the thousands of hard-working Americans who derive their livelihoods from these spectacular assets,” a company spokeswoman said in an email.
According to state alcoholic beverage control records, Trump’s three golf clubs have liquor licenses issued in the name of corporate entities including Lamington Farm Club LLC; Trump National Golf Course Colts Neck LLC, and TNGC Pine Hill LLC.

When Trump became president he turned over control of the Trump Organization to his sons, Donald Jr. and Eric. So that's how Eric knows.

But it's disgusting that they would even try such a move and would try to hit him in the wallet. And I wouldn't put it past them to try to figure out how to do it anyway, given the novel actions that went on in New York.
