The House Oversight and House Judiciary Committees finally managed to get Hunter Biden in to testify behind closed doors on Wednesday.
But before he testified, he issued a statement that is pretty typical of the ever-changing nonsensical spin that the Bidens have spread throughout the scandal. They keep playing word games and as what they say is debunked they revise what they said and then pretend like they always said it.
Hunter claimed that he "did not involve my father in my business."

So just ignore all the emails, his father meeting with the business associates, Hunter taking those business associates to have pictures with his dad, the Vice President, Biden having dinner at the Cafe Milano with some of them. We are just supposed to pretend we didn't see all that, and it didn't mean anything.
Forget that Joe Biden did not tell the truth when he said he had never spoken with Hunter about his business dealings.
Hunter now says: "I did not involve my father in my business."

The goalposts are moving.
Joe Biden used to say he never spoken with Hunter about his business dealings.
Hunter Biden is now playing cute linguistic games. https://t.co/B7McRpIDgH pic.twitter.com/IxZ8eW9NSf
"You do not have evidence to support the baseless and MAGA-motivated conspiracies about my father because there isn’t any,” Hunter claimed. It's hilarious he's pulling out his father's "MAGA" hatred. It's not MAGA emails on the laptop, it's his emails to foreign entities.
Then he tries another tactic, saying if he did say something about my family in texts or other messages, that was "in the darkest days of my addiction."
His problem is that there are emails like this, talking about shared offices with his father, the Biden Foundation, and "Hudson West (CEFC US)" - although ultimately for other reasons, this did not come to fruition.

Then there was this to another of his business associates, Miguel Aleman Magnani.
‘I’ve looked at what your family has done and want to follow in that tradition and you always say you will help but I haven’t heard from you since I got you a mtg for Carlos and your Dad.
‘We have been talking about business deals and partnerships for 7 years. And I really appreciate you letting me stay at your resort villa…but I have brought every single person you have ever asked me to bring to the F’ing WHite House and the Vice President’s house and the inauguration and then you go completely silent – I don’t hear from you for months.
He can spin all he wants now, but the emails, the texts, the bank records, and the pictures are there.
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) and Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) said that some things that Hunter testified to were contradicted by other witnesses.

Following Hunter Biden’s deposition, Chairman Comer announces the next phase is a public hearing.
“I think this was a great deposition for us. It proved several bits of our evidence that we've been conducting throughout this investigation.
“But there were also… pic.twitter.com/ZtsqcyCED2
Comer said it was a "great deposition" and confirmed "several bits of our evidence." He said they would now go on to a public hearing and the transcript of the deposition would be released in the next couple of days.
Mace came out after an hour in the deposition and said she would describe Hunter as "defiant and dishonest," saying like Comer some of what he said was contradicted by other witnesses. She also said he relied on the old saw of not remembering.
That could be a problem for Hunter if they can prove what he said isn't true.
Perhaps the funniest thing that was revealed, according to Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) was that Hunter Biden told them that he joined the Burisma board to "counter Russian aggression."

Gaetz termed the actions "a bribe masquerading as an international business transactions" and he said he still considers it a "bribe" even if the money goes to Joe Biden's family and not Joe Biden directly.
Somehow I'm thinking that $3.5 million going to Hunter''s firm from the mayor of Moscow's wife, Yelena Baturina, doesn't sound like it's "countering" Russian aggression. Funny how Baturina was one of the Russians who wasn't sanctioned by the Biden Administration back when I wrote about Jen Psaki being questioned on the topic back in March 2022.
