House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH) and House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) just upped the ante on Joe Biden.
They have now subpoenaed the records of the interview that Biden did with Special Counsel Robert Hur's team.

That was after the DOJ failed to comply with the Committee's (voluntary) request for the documents.

They want to know about the classified documents and the connection to foreign governments as part of the impeachment inquiry. They also want to know if Biden's private attorneys placed any limitations on the questioning.
This puts the Biden team in a box.
If the DOJ fails to comply, the House could proceed to contempt charges, and then it would look like Biden's handlers are covering up things for him because they don't want the American people to see how bad he was in the interview. So right in the middle of the election, you have a cover-up scandal.
If they turn over the records, then it will likely reveal just how much Joe Biden and his team have been falsely casting the interview. We've already seen a bit of it when Biden played the victim during his first remarks about the report. He tearfully chastised the Special Counsel for asking about the death of his son.

"How in the hell dare he raise that," Biden raged. He said when he was asked the question, he thought to himself, "It wasn't any of their damn business."
That caused all of his media/Democrat defenders to rip Hur. Biden's wife Jill even used the "attack" on "their son" to fundraise in a disgusting display.
Except it didn't happen that way.
According to sources familiar with the interview, it was Biden who raised the issue of his son's death as part of his effort to recall the time period. As we reported, according to the Hur Report, he couldn't remember the year, even within several years and he also couldn't remember the year he became VP or the year he stopped being VP.
So doing the victim act using his son is a particularly gross performance to try to sway the American people to have sympathy for him, the poor, attacked father.
Those issues and the things he's claimed about the classified documents may come back to haunt him as the conflicts between what he said to the public and what he said to the Hur team may come out. We will see his explanations under the grill for why he had classified documents all over the house and in his offices -- and that isn't going to look good for him. I suspect it's probably even worse than what's described in the report.
