Joe Biden was in the Los Angeles area on Tuesday and Wednesday as part of a campaign swing and then later he will be off to San Francisco.
When Biden arrived in Los Angeles, he immediately showed his hypocrisy after trying to lecture everyone about climate change being the great 'existential threat" of our time, and then tooling around in a more than 30-car motorcade.

Then as he got set to make his remarks in Culver City, he was asked a question by a reporter about whether he would need a "strong State of the Union address to win reelection." Biden appeared completely clueless, and said, "Pardon me?"
Biden appears very confused after he's asked about his State of the Union address, so LA Mayor Karen Bass steps in to answer on his behalf.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass intervened, "He's going to win reelection anyway."
Then the staff shoved the reporters out of the room so they couldn't ask Biden anything else at that point.
Not exactly a great save. People got the meme of all time with this look.

Then Bass' answer is sort of funny too. Is she expecting Biden's speech to tank, that she adds "anyway" as though knowing it will be bad? That's probably a good guess.
Bass spoke first at the Culver City Library, acknowledging the officials by name and setting the stage on the student load debt question, so Biden didn't have to do that.
Biden came out with a physician's assistant who said she had been forgiven for more than $144,000.
Of course, he's doing this in the face of of the Supreme Court decision and without any authorization from Congress. Not to mention that it's basically a blatant effort to get votes. This is on the back of the taxpayers. Plus, the folks who didn't go to college or who paid off their loans already get bupkis out of this vote-buying gimmick.
All Biden had to do was read the teleprompter but he seemed completely lacking in energy.

He also claimed that debt forgiveness was "helping you who don't go to college."

Well, no, it doesn't, that just isn't true. Even if there are other grants, that has nothing to do with and doesn't justify this giveaway.
Here's one more fight with the teleprompter.
Biden struggles to read the words on the giant teleprompter in front of him:

When asked if he was concerned about the legality of what he was doing given the Supreme Court decision and no authorization from Congress, he completely blew it off.
REPORTER: "Do you worry this [unilateral student loan debt bailout] will get shut down in court?"

BIDEN: "I don't have a worry at all"
*shuffles away* pic.twitter.com/gkM8z6jTi8
"I don't have a worry at all," he claimed.
It probably will get shut down, but then he'll try to blame Republicans because he gets stopped from doing something he isn't able to do.
But as always, all the Democrats care about here is how they can hold onto power, whether it's legal or not.
