Talk about highs and lows. Killer Mike, the rap artist, just found out what that truly means.
Killer Mike just won three big awards at the Grammys, and you could see he was truly excited and truly celebrating. This was during the pre-televised portion of the show. He won for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance, so he swept the category.

"You cannot tell me that you get too old, you can't tell me it's too late. You can't tell me. Dreams come true," he crowed. "It is a sweep!" he said, while celebrating. The wins came more than 20 years after he won his first Grammy in 2003, which was why he was so jubilant.
But as high as he was at that moment with the recognition, in the next moment he was stunned, unbelieving that he was reportedly arrested and was being led away by police. "Are you serious?" you can hear him questioning the cops. "What the f**k!"
The Hollywood Reporter's Chris Gardner got the coverage, reporting that Killer Mike was being detained for a "physical altercation" that was probably a misdemeanor.
An official tells someone on his team that it’s possible he may be released later tonight from the arena. Unclear if he’s being booked here and what he’s charged with. Trying to find out. #Grammys pic.twitter.com/undjtECFu1

They said he would likely be released on Sunday evening, and it was unrelated to anything having to do with the Grammys or anything this evening.
But seriously, for a misdemeanor, you're going to grab him out of the Grammys like that? Seems a bit much. Especially when they seem to let go every Tom, Dick, and Harry with nothing in Los Angeles. An odd application of force (and maybe shame), in context.
Killer Mike appeared on Friday on Bill Maher's "Real Time" HBO show and when pressed, he wouldn't say that he would vote for Joe Biden. "You can't get yourself to say, "Vote for Biden over Trump?" But he said he wouldn't, noting several issues with Biden including the crime bill that Biden helped pass back in the 1990s--and that "you ain't black" comment.
