After the Iowa caucus last night, when former President Donald Trump walked away with the win, Vivek Ramaswamy, who came in fourth, saw the writing on the wall. He dropped out and called on everyone to endorse Trump.

Ramaswamy laid out in simple terms why it was important to win.

"We are in the middle of a war in this country," Ramaswamy said. "It's not a war between black and white. It's not between Democrat and Republican, even in a deeper sense. It's between the Permanent State and the everyday citizen. Between those of us who love the United States of America and a fringe minority that hates this country and what we stand for. "

"Right now, we need a Commander-in-Chief who will lead us in this war," he continued. "You have to know you're in a war in order to win one. You can't win one if you're asleep at the switch, have your head stuck in the stand like most Republicans. I think that's going to require someone not bought and paid for — a businessman, not a politician. Anyone heard of that?" Ramaswamy laughed as he was referencing Trump, but himself as well. 

Ramaswamy said the people had spoken in the Iowa Caucus, and he was going to do "everything in my power" to help achieve the victory in this war. "This is a 1776 moment right now," Vivek declared. 

He spoke about how he was the child of legal immigrants and said they needed to secure the border, "That's what it means to stand for the rule of law," he declared. "It means the people we elect to run the government needs to be the people who run the government, not the shadow government in the Deep State that runs the show today...That's how we win this war in this country," he said. 

Ramaswamy also spoke about tightening up the election process with single-day voting, paper ballots, and government ID. He said some were so concentrated on differences they failed to note the things that were the same that brought us together as Americans, the ideals that "set this country into motion," which he said still existed. "E pluribus unum, from many one," he exclaimed. 

Vivek then listed some truths that were a battle cry: 

"There are two genders...Fossil fuels are a requirement for human prosperity -- drill, frack, burn coal, embrace nuclear energy. Reverse racism is racism. An open border is not a border. Parents determine the education of their children. The nuclear family is the greatest form of governance known to mankind. Capitalism lifts us up from poverty. There are three branches of government in the United States, not four. And the U.S. Constitution is the strongest and greatest guarantor of freedom in human history." 

Vivek said that is the truth that still gives hope to the free world.

"If we can revive that dream over group identity, victimhood, and grievance, then nobody in the world — not a nation, not a corporation, not a virus, not China, is going to defeat us," Vivek said. "That is what American exceptionalism is all about."  

He finished with another call to vote for Trump, and then as he embraced Trump, people began chanting, "VP, VP, VP." Both Trump and Ramaswamy broke out into huge smiles at that.
