There's no question that MSNBC is a bastion of the liberal narrative, and "Morning Joe" is no exception to that rule. 

But Mika Brzezinki's sycophantic take on Hunter Biden on Wednesday was definitely one for the books, even for that network.

"Every family knows someone who's suffered like Hunter Biden has," she said. She and her husband, Joe Scarborough, claimed going after Hunter was going to backfire on the Republicans. 

“They still don’t understand that in that first debate when Donald Trump attacked Hunter Biden, attacked Joe Biden’s son, they don’t understand how much that backfired. There were conservative, hardcore right-wing, pro-Trump conservatives, whose articles I read and whose columns I read after that who were outraged that Donald Trump went after another man’s child,” Scarborough said.

“You know, voters know Joe Biden and that’s the problem here,” co-host Mika Brzezinski said. “To your point, every family knows or struggles with mental health challenges or knows someone who has struggled and suffered as Hunter has and has done things that are against their core values. Every family is struggling in some way. Another thing voters are, many of them, parents. And when you go after Joe Biden’s son as you pointed out, the reason why it was such a turn off, is because not only was it his son, it was his remaining son. Like how sick can you be?”

That take is so bad, it's hilarious, especially if they think it's true and aren't just slinging bull. 

First, I don't believe any conservative said any such thing to Joe Scarborough about going after "another man's child." Hunter is in his fifties; he's not a child, even if the media tries to make him sound like a 12-year-old. I think over 50 is fair game. This from the same side that has no problem attacking Donald Trump, Jr. or Ivanka Trump. 

Second, no, "sick" is pretending this is about drug addiction and not about potential corruption and compromise. "Sick" is an alleged journalist not doing her job but giving the Bidens a pass.

Third, Hunter has yet to be held accountable for years of bad behavior on anything. Most families know if they had done half of what Hunter did, they could expect a far different result — and not a pleasant one. So frankly, the opposite is true. It remains to be seen if he will truly be held accountable. 

I supposed "suffering" is relative. But most addicts don't rake in millions, helped by their name being Biden. Most don't get to trade off of and benefit from the family name. Most don't live in a Malibu mansion worth millions, with the Secret Service protecting them, living in a nearby mansion — for which we pay. Most don't get to fly overseas on Air Force One and Two or hang out in a billionaire's pad in Nantucket.

Y'all run in a different crowd than 95% of the USA. It is irresponsible reporting to water down what is going on with Hunter to addiction, so let's not try to gaslight with that. There are LOADS of things on that laptop that NO families orneven individuals have experienced.
